I really like how you explain the setup and not just the pouring aspect of the job. Not a lot of channels actually go into detail about how the forms should go
Well I appreciate that, I know some of my newer content is not like that style but I am going to bring some more of that type of videos again soon thanks for the kind words. have a merry xmas!
I love the edge buddy. Where did you buy them form liners? Stick with 4000 lbs and you will have better luck and not kill yourself. Looks great though. 👍👊
Thanks bondo, so Proline makes them, they also make a cantilever one too, I have a video of it but I will make another soon! So anywhere that sales Proline stamps can get u the liners! Those edge liners are the way to go though! I appreciate u checking out my videos, I watch yours every time and am subscribed! I actually bought a funny float and use it like your son does! Not like the Mexicans around here do!
Dude you need to get some, the fact that you don't have to rub the faces makes it so worth it! And thank you for watching and support! Can't wait to watch your next video!
Job came out nice. Not to be critical, but maybe dress for the job. Get some company shirts and shorts or pants that stay up. it just looks more professional. Keep up the good work.
Hi grubby, why don’t you use 3/4 crushed stone instead of that road base? I always use 3/4 Crush. I understand that the crushed stone allows water to flow and it allows water to settle, but the “a-gravel” as we call it, packs really nice, but get soggy when wet. Crushed stone stays dry as it allows for the water to run thru it. Thanks for your input brother. keep on grubbing on
Hey bro I'm not sure what we use as form release but it's killer, the caked up Concrete comes right off little effort. Even old dried mud that was on the forms came off. Needless to say all our forms look new since I've scraped em with this new stuff
right on chad hope all is well. i still got that bull float if u need it. 4 some reason that is my best video and is still getting views. all my otger videos arw dead in the water but not that 1. hope yur uncle is doing ok
@@GRUBB-MUDD hey thanks brother, yea my uncle is finally doing a bit better it was sketchy for a minute. Heck yea if I could ever find a frigging ride up there it would b cool as hell to actually meet. I appreciate the bullfloat for sure. I go back and keep watching old vids yours CC&T and Victory that all I watch when I'm not at work doing it myself lol
@@GRUBB-MUDD I finally got a bit more of a raise but honestly needs to b way more I've been with them for almost 5 years now and I've never even gotten a bonus no nothing not any help whatsoever
Really great video Bobby very informative for me I might have a 40×40 pad as a private job coming up in a month or so. Thanks for the vid bro. It turned out really nice brother. Stay safe bro
About $175 for 8 hours and about $125 for 4 hours, that's why I don't buy one, they are like 6 to 8 grand brand new and it takes alot of rents to get that!
Great job! We have the same form liners, and you are right.... they take the job over the top! We use form oil, wd-40, or liquid release on them... all seem to work well. I've had them for about 5 years now and they are still like new!
Wow. Of course buddy doesn’t show up. It sucks, but it keeps on happening so often, that seems like it’s part of the game brother. Expect some of the boys not to show up. I’m dealing with that right now on a water proofing job.
I DO NOT LIKE CONCRETE PUMPS lol nothing but hell with those I'd rather jus drag it lol never had anything good happen with pump truck absolute nightmares
@@GRUBB-MUDD it was so bad we was in Edinburgh and it was a 40×60 pole barn slab and the main pipe that comes out of the hamper, it exploded and blew the rubber gasket all the out of it. It blew so hard there was concrete on the roof of the pole barn. There was another guy there that got to clean that mess lol
Hey buddy I really appreciate that, plz check out the vid I dropped yesterday, it's really good and a view and a like would really help grow the channel, it's been a long slow grind
Well I always recommend it but if the customer doesn't wana pay for it, I'm not just gonna put it in for free lol, not on my dime, I got kids. It would have only been an extra 500 to 1000 bucks, thanks for watching and commenting, I got a bunch of vids where I do use either wire or rebar. In indiana ppl pour alot w nothing but compacted stone for support, and that is the most important reinforcement if u ask me anyways
How many yards was this? In Ohio if you don't order at least 4 yards they charge you a $150 delivery fee. We are about $6 - $8/sq.ft here. It it's a smaller job you can't charge by the square foot, so it's pretty much a $1,500 minimum for any job.
I also don't charge by the square foot! I do it by the amount of days or I calculate concrete price and multiply by 3 and that usually works pretty good, I'm not the cheapest but go the extra mile! And it's going to turn out right!
Do you then pay your guys by the day? That's the way to do it. Don't ever pay your people by the hour because you'll hurt yourself in the end, and way too much tracking.
it is getting sonhard to get concrete bro, up here, its like they are trying to knock the little guy out. i may have to start using those onsite volumetric mixers
@@GRUBB-MUDD yea it's getting crazy we did one in Noblesville a couple months ago and it was hard to get mud and stone, and everything was so expensive
@@chadatkins9053 yeah its getting crazy. ive been thinking about starting up a new buisness. nit syre what i wana do ywt but i got about $35 thousand saved up. so i got aome options. i git my drivers lic now so if u wana meet lmk
form oil has petroleum in it and over time breaks down rubber, so although it does work better than bubble gum. it supposed breaks down the liners. so i have stuck w the bubble gum.
