Hey, I tried it prior watching this video, and the way I did was I made the 2 wires contact with the very end metal tip of the light bulb, and it slammed down my home's electric system, and the bulb sparkled a huge one, and burned the metal. What did I do wrong?

How safe?

that tape softens at 80 degrees and loses it's grip. it can short circuit. you should at least cover the ring around the base contact to shield it better, and use kapton tape or a heat resistant holder. i thought your video had barely more that a kid would know about electricity. i.e. kapton would have a 10 percent faliure rate compared to SHIELDING tape which is not at all heat resistant enough for a 150 degrees lightbulb. no shielding used near base. no safety warnings.
