This video is one of the many reasons there is a God. I struggle often with focus. After thinking about how bad it is for me, I just thought about how I need help. Then this video popped into my feed. I have had no prior search history to help me focus better. Very hard to think it a coincidence that right after I had this thought, I clicked off the video I was watching and here is this one. God works in mysterious ways, and I love every bit of it.
IF YOU CAN PRAY FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME IN ONE PLACE IS BECAUSE GOD HAVE NOT GIVE YOU THAT GRACE BUT YOUR SOLUTION IS TO PRAY THOUGHOUT THE DAY IN DIFFERENT PLACES GOD GOD IS EVERYWEHERE SO YOU CAN PRAY EVERYWHERE. AND LIKE THAT I THINK GOD WILL HELP YOU TO PRAY LONGER IN ONE PLACE BUT NEVER STOP PRAYING THOUGHOUT THE DAY AND FOR ME THIS STILL HARD BUT I KEEP TRYING YO GET BETTER EVERYDAY. BLESSINGS❤

Writing down my prayers is the best thing and I feel like I can focus more on prayer I pray twice in a day (I'm a christian student) and in the morning ( I'm keeping my prayers shorter until i can focus more) i prayed on me knees or in my bed and at night I write down my prayers❤ask me any questions
I change up my prayer styles depending on which one in the moment connects me most to God sometimes sitting up does it or laying down comfortably or pacing around in my house. On somedays I don't know why pacing around really does it for me and sometimes just sitting down is better. I strive to take daily walks for health and to pray and reading the bible 30 minutes daily.
This is some real wisdom here. Thank God for letting the Holy Spirit speak to us through your videos! I personally needed to hear this and I'm sure countless others did too... Watch for idols, isolate yourself, and clip it short if you can't be serious!
Praise God for His mercy! I didn't really consider that when we neglect to pray, it is beyond disrespectful to God... Like, if we're constantly talking with friends, how will we have enough time for our Best Friend, Jesus? I asked God to help me talk to Him the same amount or more that I talk to all of my friends combined. And, it doesn't have to be friends, as our brother in Christ said in this very helpful video. Friends are just an example, my example. But, I thank God Almighty that He is merciful. He could have ended me because I've been neglecting prayer, but instead, he waited. "The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9

Another way to focus is to write down your prayers and then say them out loud it really helpsss❤😊try to not be so hard on yourself and be patient no matter how much it take you to focus believe me i dont think in 1 week you will fo us

My goal is to worship with or without music (you wont have music in a jail cell) but to worship so effectivly I enter into the supernatural and be with my Jesus behind the veil in the Holy of Holies. God is a God of Spirit and not emotions. He is moved by faith not your heart. but since we are called the "Bride" of Christ. I want that intimacy so I can be more effective in obeying and being about my Fathers business.

If you wanna focus on prayer try to set your mind as much as you can in praying and when a distraction comes in mind try to avoid it and really set your kind in praying journaling prayers help a lot (how to faith a life makes prayer journal more fun and creative, please check it out)

Never really understood people who pray for hours ,I mean even in the bible theres a verse that goes something like "let your prayers be short as those who pray longer ...something something so i stick to my short prayers
I am very easily distracted and this was something that always got me as a young girl. The butterfly got me. Now I am going to think about it for the next few days.😂
3:01 this one happened to me multiple times unfortunately so I tried to sit up when praying and if I'm really tired then I would sit on the floor. And I needed this because I would pray as soon as I got home from school at 3: 00 or something and when I finished it would be like 10: 00. or something like that..
You also can pray for short times until you can focus more but pray more often for example I prayed 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes at night sonetimes I prayed more and every week that I can focus more I add 5 more minutes and so I'm adding a time of prayed at my lunch school (I don't have friends :v) so I go to bathroom and talk to God❤ask me any questions

I do pray when I’m in bed lol and I’m telling you I either fall asleep or I end up just making conversation with God. Which I love when that happens because it makes me feel better when I can just vent to him. But I would love to learn to do that on command and not just like.. Oopsie! I went off track 😅 I just got to the part of the video that says “but don’t disrespect him while you’re dozing off or you’re rambling” I don’t think I do? I mean I really just rant about my day but I seriously try to be as nice as I can. But I can understand how it really can ❤

This was really helpful! Just one thing - I'm pretty sure I have ADHD so my mind wanders a lot when I pray. Not because I'm thinking of other things like a hobby or other God that i may have but because I'm thinking about total nonsense and can't focus. I get so frustrated with myself when my mind wanders but i feel like I can't stop it. Does anyone have advice?
@@3zepticus I've found that just praying, asking God to calm your mind and keep you focused on him can help :) whenever you find yourself distracted, ask God to remind you of Him and keep you focused on Him
