This product looks perfect for the spalding on my pool cooping. Should I grind it or sand it off if I'm going to use a pool deck paint afterwards? Same with hairline cracks on the deck. Should I grind it off before deck paint? TY
Quik Fix will work great for that! I would definitely grind the Quik Fix down flush with concrete before painting. You can use a crack chase wheel to open up the cracks up a little bit before putting the Quik Fix in. I would check with paint manufacture for recommendations on prepping the rest of the slab before paining. You could also use Revival instead of paint. It'll recolor the slab and tends to last longer then paint. I'll leave a link to our How-To video on Revival. Those two shots in the video were from two separate job sites. You definitely want some sand built up around the crack or saw cut. You'll need that extra sand to develop a good workable paste. How much build-up depends on the installer. Any excess sand outside of the build-up can vacuumed up though. Thanks for watching Deco-Crete TV!!!!
