my favorite are daphnia because they could survive in fresh water if not eaten, they are also considered as loaded with proteins and a little bit laxative

I grow brine shrimps/Artemia Cysts from the great salt lake/Utah (sanders) in a DIY glass bottle breeding system that I heat in a water bath and aerate 24/7 with a glass pipe. So I always have a constant supply of small brine shrimps for my rasboras and corydoras of fresh live food. You can notice it in the healthier, faster-growing and bright colors of the fish, it is the perfect rearing food for young fish. And it also promotes the fish's natural hunting behavior, and at least it looks like they're having a lot of fun doing it.

Remember when i told you that i was going to do a shrimp tank……well i did it but not a aquarium. A No-filter jar with many plants😊

In US it's actually difficult to find most live foods. Alas, I believe ive blood worms illegal here. Black worms became super rare 2 years ago. Daphnia online only and pricey. Sometimes adult brine. I end up taking what I can get and hatching my own baby brine.

True. I know that bloodworms are more and more problematic. This is why I don't recommend them to all fish. I will create few videos in the future about making your own live foods.

great video , I would add too to not go and catch food in the wild because of the pollution and the risk of bringing back: illness , parasites and sometimes predator like damsel or firefly larvae
