Rojikku Reigns nice brother I see your in New Jersey !! I am from jersey as well , I moved to Cali and joined the sheriffs brother welcome to the family
@AConsoleWidowmaker you are dumb as hell boy. The cop giving the tips is black. Aaron is simply saying, besides the tips he is giving he is happy to see black cops setting good examples you simpleton
I graduated Sea Girt. No prior military experience. It was an eye opener. Everything you say is spot on. If they dropped you as a friend because you chose to become a cop, they weren't your friends to begin with.
I’m half way in my academy & you definitely explained everything so well.... I’m about to start range & I’m nervous but I hope I qualify! Thank you for the video!
Rojikku, I agree with 100% of what you said. I am in my 25yr in Blue. Could not be more proud. Wish I could do another 25yrs. I do not want to retire in 5. I will lose my mind. My brother gave the State Patrol 32 years, and year 33 he was dead. The job was his everything. He had no family other than me, but we did not get along until he retired. And then I lost him. Be safe my friend. God Bless you on and off duty
Never have I ever found a career path as suited for me as this! I have no social life, I'm a water person, I think fast, I push myself in everything I do, and I'm great with risky stuff! I am also 14 and starting to build good habits so I can do this in the future! Thank you so much for the tips!!!
Hey man. I believe we spoke a few months back via email in regards to the background process but I cant seem to find your email anymore but I wanna thank you for your info and motivation. I was accepted to the academy and in the firearms portion with approximately 6 weeks left until graduation. Again I thank you sir.
In my experiences if you are going state police academy or any major city academy class, you will be in for a hell of a time. The small local agencies/academies tend to be much more lenient when compared. They are still tough but can be easily done if you get in the right mindset.
I've been contemplating a career in law enforcement after I get my bachelor's, this video has helped me. I might consider it even more now, thanks man.
Good luck with you're career. Really appreciate you man. Thank you for you're service, and don't listen to the haters. I want to a police officer one day and this helped a lot. Thanks again and good luck!
I’m going to be starting the academy next month, and watching this video really helped. Definitely agree with the cardio preparation, I’ve been making sure to focus on it when completing workouts.
Congratulations. I went that route too, 1 1/2 years as a dispatcher to officer. Good foundation build on as you know what dispatchers have to deal with; never forget where you came from.
I love this a real insight for just mental preparation in terms of what the job is really like. I love these videos currently I’m in college playing baseball with the hopes of becoming an LEO after. If possible I’d really like to hear your own background story as to how you got into law enforcement.
Waiting anxiously to be selected for the psychological test/background questioning portion of my process. They are aiming for October '18 or Feburary '19 academy. Thanks for the video, I knew most of what you were going to say, but its still good to check up.
Thanks brotha. Appreciate you taking the time to make this video. In the process of going into the academy in July but due to COVID-19, things are pushed back. So trying to stay mentally and physically fit at home with the fam. Everything happening for reason but for all of us in the process of joining, we gone get there. Best believe! Once again, thanks for this video man ✊🏾
Failed my 1.5 run last month. I was super discouraged, and still am a little, but I have refocused and went back to the drawing board... also hired a trainer.
I believe you 100% I been thinking about bein a cop for awhile now I know it’s gonna be tough and I know that you have to learn to face your fears sometimes I just haven’t quite figured out when I would like to do it I’m doin a lot of thinking
Thank you for this!!! I’m currently a security guard and just applied to SPD. This really helped me and honestly makes me really think if I truly want that.
I start Monday January 14th , Thanks homie this helped out a lot . But man do I love video games and Weight training as well lol stay safe brotha 🇺🇸⚫️🔵
I hope to get into Baltimore county police academy in June and after going through Marine Corps bootcamp years ago I look forward to the challenge, thanks man.
Thanks for the video brotha! I'm a proud firefighter (volunteer) looking to become a police officer as a career and continue to volunteer my time as a firefighter as well. This video helps me out.
I'm planning on going to the Academy and you explained and answered all of questions and plus if i do go i will need to stay on the campus because its in Nashville and i live far east TN so thank you so much you helped my out alot!
I think the shooting thing was super helpful for the woman . I not a cop.but I have a registered gun and I went to a shooting range for a long time to learn the right way. They gave greats tips of owning one too . Mine is under lock and key .I go once a month to just keep fresh . So thanks to that tip
I am actually 15 and i just recently just graduated from a youth police academy and it was kinda stressful because the instructors screaming at you and in my head i was like keep calm and im a person who doesn’t get mad for anything i am a happy person my big fear of going to the real academy is the fitness part i feel like i wont make it just because of that and i am a fit person i just feel like im not gonna make so that is my biggest struggle and im overthinking it just because of that even though i have a good body i am in shape i feel like im not going to make it
Thanks for this video ! I have a few more credits until I graduate college, I'm waiting for the police exam to come back so I can take it. But I definitely should start running more and working out!.
I am stressed hardcore about the physical side. I can't run for shit. I have been getting up super early every single morning and forcing myself to run. Situps and pushups are also a struggle for me. I have until march 15th to get ready for the academy. It's a time crunch...but I am determined to make the cut.
StudlyFudd13 trust me man. You can do anything in this world. I lost 40 pounds in the academy. I got my ass kicked every day for four months because I wasn’t as prepared as I should have been. Just keep this in mind. They can’t do anything in there that can beat you, ever. I went from running a 15:55 mile and a half to a 10:07 by the end. Trust me. Never give up and trust the process. You will get through it. And when you do, be sure to come back here and let me know how much ass you kicked. You got this.
Thanks Emery I've been on my way to become an officer and possibly a chief myself. You are absolutely phenomenal with your honesty and your straightforwardness. Thank you and stay safe please. #BlueLivesMatter
I have a friend and her husband became a cop the beginning of this year in Connecticut and he's all over social media, they are a very young couple and they post basically everything about their life ever since he became a cop. but I think he did keep a low profile on social media while he was in the academy I guess until he graduated. In Connecticut It seems like they encourage you to be on social media as long as its positive.
Hello Thank You for Sharing Video Content and helpful information and People in the Comment section below. I Think Police Officers and Other People are Heros
I'm excited about going to the police academy in December...I been running alot and eating healthy u Kno it's going to be hard but this is something I wanted for a long time and I've trained my mind to say I got this you can do this
Here I am watching these academy videos because my fiance had his first day for his academy training today. Can't for the weekend when he comes home for the short period.
Hey, great video! Love your attitude and how you talk about this. Thank you for setting realistic expectations, You said you were a gamer do you play on PC if so is there any chance you have a discord I could join I would love to ask for your advice about some of this stuff. I'm looking to make a huge change in my life and career and thinking towards going to the police academy. Thanks.
Michael Reigns do it! I’m a gamer at heart but a designated law enforcement channel would be beneficial. You’re a great representation of law enforcement. I work corrections as a Correctional Officer and our academy didn’t have a whole lot of physical activity which is sad in my opinion.
Hey Tyler I'm also a Correctional officer just stepping up into Corporal Position. I got told to look forward to going on Patrol for our Sherriff Dept. And I'm totally excited about it. Thank yaw for serving the community!
No point in doing a criminal justice degree, everything you learn is at academy basically. Don't waste your money and if anything, get a different degree so you have a backup plan if anything happens.
I want to become a police officer I do armed security right now but I'm going through losing weight and cardio cuz I weigh 363 and 6 foot 1 this helps alot
Prior Military. I can't imagine it's any harder than that. Got through it. Hopefully in a month I'll be able to say that I am one of the 2 out of 5 selected.
I still got a few interviews to go through, but I should be in the cademy by January 20019. My academy won't be 12 and 13 hour days, but none the less your video helped out. I'm 43 years old so you know they're going to be busting my balls Lol.... I've been coaching football for 14 years so that should help on some things... but anyway good video dude keep up the good work ✊
First day of the academy our instructors smoked us for 2:30 hours because people couldn’t follow simple instructions when they ask you if you don’t understand SAY YOU DONT UNDERSTAND them screaming at you for being “stupid” is a whole lot easier to deal with than getting smoked up and down stairs push ups sit ups and jumping jacks all while someone is falling out so count resets man... my running sucks, cardio IS EVERYTHING
thank god i came across this video bro i just got accepted in the academy and i have alot of cops friends but i wanted a outside source on what to expect when i get in
