Thanks for sharing Mate, but when you spinn the bearing after clean it you risk to damage it because the bearing is not lubricated,is better if you use some sourse of air instead ! So thks for the videos again!

Hey Brandon terrapin released a ceramic delta bearing get some but they changed the wing cut ceramic to delta ceramic I have a ss delta it still is going good but I'm going to try the ceramic delta because the temp stays real nice and they have less friction let's go get some bearings Brandon they are on yoyo expert

What do you do with the lighter fluid after you cleaned the bearing?? Throw them away or keep them to clean the bearing when you need them the next time round?

+zhekai 05 Throw it away, it has some of the stuff you took out of the bearing in it, and you don't want to put that stuff back next time you clean your bearings.

throw it away. The fluid will have the grease and dirt in the bearing

Lighter fluid in it then light it on fire and spin it. The fire leaves a residue that makes it dead silent

shielding the bearing will generally make your bearing not as easy to be dirty no shields is a bit more easy to be dirty

Brandon. I have had a cheap Henry's Lizard yoyo for 6 months, got a Sage at christmas (the bolt snapped so it is unusable) and i am wanting something new (with my sage, i did turn it unresponsive). If i can't fix my sage, what would be the best for me? I know basic binds, split the atom, ripcord and boingy boing (my best 3 tricks) and live in the UK. Do you have to clean the bearing on every style of play 1A to 5A?

Generally you should clean your bearings when they start acting up. 2a Yoyo bearings can stay heavily lubed, but every other style requires a regularly maintained and clean bearing.

They're supposed to protect the inside of the bearing, but many people prefer just not putting it back on

did say you are using an atlas? put a konkave or boss rage bearing (i pref the boss rage you can get it from g2 for about 6$ usd) on that thing with some kitty 1.5 string and you're good to go for equipment

So you change the pads a week before which would be your main practicing time for that competition, but wouldn't it be better to change the pads the day before the competition?

based of the stiffness of the pad,and the materiel, you will need to take time to break in the pad. Some pads are easier to break in than others.

ryanc29os Yea what Edgar said. Some players I know for instance Vu Ho, changes pads right before the competition. I prefer to break them in a little, a snaggy yoyo is the fastest way to get your string jammed and get a knot.

League of noobs Kha zix That's what happens when you lube it too much. Lube in moderation. It will eventually spin back to normal with a bit of play, but next time lube your bearing less.

All bearings need maintenance from time to time. You really need both eventually. You'll need to buy new bearings as you're old ones die, and you'll need to clean your new ones to keep them running smoothly.

no, lighter fluid dissolves the particles in the bearing so they can exit cleanly. Water might just break the particles into smaller, clingyier particles making the bearing worse.
