How to press @ on a German keyboard vs US English keyboard.

You can try using strg, it is the ctrl version of the German keyboard. There is also a Gr alt button on the right side of the space bar that might work

i am sorry for the unclear question. for example with in this sentence: a cat is eating. if i select ''eating'' after selecting ''cat'', the selected ''cat'' is not selected anymore. therefore, which button should i press if i want to select both of the words at the same time?

I have german keyboard but language setting is UK, nothing is working, do you know where is the problem?

Maybe there's something wrong with the keyboard for example when you press "L a" it writes "M" or smthn
