Hi Dr. Aimee! :) I did a natural embryo transfer and now I am 6.5 weeks pregnant! I did not take progesterone supplementation after ET but I have been regularly monitoring my progesterone levels via blood tests and lately I've seen a decrease. Wondering if I need supplementation. I was consistently around 22ng/ml but in the last two weeks or so its dropped to 16 ng/ml. I also started taking a low does of Levotyroxin around the same time it started dropping. Any correlation there between thyroid meds and progesterone decrease? What is the optimal progesterone level around this time and or at what level would you start prescribing someone with progesterone supplementation?

Hello doctor I just had a miscarriage at 21 weeks. Everything had been going well up until I began to bleed and found out I was 1 cm dilated. YOU DONT NEED TO LOSE ANY PREGNANCY before you get tested. I hate that drs believe in this. 70% of the time an early pregnancy is lost due to low progesterone. Early progesterone supplementation at conception and continue through first trimester can prevent it. A good prenatal vitamin as well. Also there are studies that suggest early ultrasound before 10wks can cause miscariage. The sound waves can interrupt with fetal development. Sprcially if its not done correctly. You can ask for hcg checks only to confirm healthy development. I wish drs stop telling people its natural to lose a couple of pregnancies before you get a good one.

Why the women have to wait for 2 lost of pregnancy to seek medical help, why not right after the first time miscarriage, especially for the first time pregnancy. Time is so important for childbearing women
