Have you ever wondered how some products sell for hundreds of dollars while others are more affordable? If you’ve had this in mind while pricing your products for sale, I go into detail with the different pricing models you can follow to help you make a decision. Ultimately it depends on what tier your brand sits in, but the terms and content in this video will help you figure all of that out in a strategic way. It’s important to price your product at a sweet spot, a price that your market is willing to pay and you are able to make margins on to keep the lights on. It can be tricky to figure out, but it’s important to know what to strive for early on and then make adjustments as needed.

Thanks for this man. One question...is there a way to change the price of a product in Prihtful after you've added the product? I do no see a way to do this on Printful (I see where you can edit, but it only allows me to edit the image, not the pricing). Thank you in advance.

Is there anyway that I could input a list of model #’s into a program and have it rapidly search all of those to give me current pricing? Trying to do a large scale (rapid) cost analysis that will allow me to determine which loads are more lucrative. If anyone has any advice or info, I greatly appreciate it!!

I am a product developer and I just paid a guy around $300 for a marketing report on Fiverr, and his numbers are way off lol, the only accurate part seems to be the estimated units sold per year. For example I have fridge/freezer specifically designed for camping in minivans and Sprinter vans. He said the manufacturing costs could be $600, and his suggested retail price was $1000 But if a rooftop camping tent for cars, jeeps ect can cost...........$3000, then what could be the manufacturing cost this product? $1500? Then how the heck could my product, which is more involved, cost only $600 to produce? So is the markup for these type of products 50%.....%100.....or what? Please give some insight I'm very confused!

Hi John. I have a question, if you could help please. I just started my apparel company a few month ago. My niche is Boxing, so I do Boxing/Fighting related apparel. I don't have a lot of sales, but I've sold some T-shirts through out the local boxing community. I do not have a website, but I am planning to make one. So when I did one of my first T-shirt designs, I got reach out in Instagram by one of the coaches that trains pro boxers in CA, asking to send them some t-shirts, because they liked them. So I did send 10 t-shirts at my own cost. Fighters we wearing them and I was super happy. Then we talked more and he said if I will provide the t-shirts or any other apparel for the fighters (basically to be a sort of a sponsor) - they will wear it. I got all excited and was thinking that its the best advertisement for my brand that I could ever ask for. My problem is that they want them for FREE obviously, and I am not that big of a company yet, to be able to give 10 - 20 T-shirts at my own cost (they just asked me for another 20 t-shirts), when I don't have that many sales. What do u think I should do? I don't want to upset them and loose such a strong connection/out, but same time not being able to afford it. Thank you very much.

+Vlad Shults great question and one that a lot of brands have to deal with when first starting. Ultimately it depends on the budget you have for your marketing. you need to have a figure in mind, but more importantly you need to make sure you maximize exposure, contacts and sales. If you were to provide the shirts, make it so you gain way more in return. If the gym is reputable, consider approaching it as the official gym sponsor. Have the owner pay for part of the production and require he fighters to wear it. (Collaboration) it would be branded as their gym and your brand. In the case that they don't want to cover any production, require the fighters to still buy it, at the very minimum your cost, and then request for banners and booth set ups during fights. There are multiple ways to make the deal work, but always make it a win- win. Fighters wearing it is cool, but always make sure it's translates to your bottom line.

I'm also in boxing apparel. I would sponsor a popular boxer, one with a good IG following. Or you could reserve a few for sponsored boxers. I sponsor 5 boxers (2 pro, 3 ammys) not including my 3 children. You can't make money if you give them all away🙂 I'd be happy to share also.

Something didn't add up in regards to retail. you said retail will mark up 60-75% and you showed the example wholesale price is $10 then retail price is $30. This is a 200% mark up. A 75 % mark up for retail would bring the price to $17.5 Please explain what I have missed.
