For anybody who wants their book to be more even: If you have a drill, and something to clamp the pages, you can drill the holes in the pages. You can then sew it together, making the pages stronger and more even!

two hole punchers usually have a marking for the middle in the part where you feed the paper so if you you fold your paper in the middle on on one side for about 1-2 inches or mark it with a pencil, you can align them and have more even edges 😁
I made myself a very crude 8x11 drawing booklet using about a hundred sheets of printing paper and duct tape. Its amazing how well it held together. You can also just use some rubber cement brushed on the outside edges. Once dry you just add the book binding tape. it would give a cleaner finish without the need for hole punching and metal clips.

Usually, ring hole punchers have an arrow in between the holes right in the middle. You can fold the papers in half just enough to make a slight crease in the inner middle part of the paper. You can align this crease with the arrow in the puncher to create perfectly positioned holes.
Thank you this is a good solution to print and bind my own manuscript to send to publishers for cheap! I can't spend € 50 at the copy shop every time I want to print and send my manuscript.
this is awesome, I'm doing up some writing and drawing pages for my 4 year old, and instead of them being single pages, I thought it would be great to put them into a book type instead, so this is super helpful and creative, thank you so much :)
That was easy indeed. To fix the hole alignment simply turn the hole puncher and there should be a measuring stick that's extendable from inside the device which you can use to make perfectly aligned cuts when the paper is placed against its end.
What the actual F I cannot believe how well that works. All the other videos I've seen are time consuming, and messy with all the craft glue you have to use! Absolutely gonna be using this

Wow!! fantastic Job, and so easy ...looks great, and most importantly all you need is a printer, hole puncher, scissors, book tape, and those cheap binders, and a little spare time.
Just use a dremal and a small drill bit and drill the holes straight through. you could also use a awl or a hand punch and push it straight through once you mark the spots the drill or dremal would be easier though.
Do you have to have a specific printer in order for it to do the two sided? Do I have to take the paper out and put it in again? That was the one thing I found when I was trying to print a grammar book was that I kept running into problems that I couldn't understand
SodbusterLiving it should be in your printer settings, you might need to click on the printer dialogue for more settings. You click on the 2 sided option and booklet option under layouts.
This is cool, thank you for demonstrating! There are so many free books online, but I have a hard time reading more than 5 or so pages on my laptop. Gonna try this out and see if it helps.

To make the papers more even you can fold them slightly in half (just a little at the side) and then place the crease at the little hook hole punchers usually have, then make the holes and boom! All the pages are even... I hope this helps, I did my best to explain it....🤗🤗

With really thick books I just use a very large binder. One of the Robinson books is the Josephine Pollard Bible book and it is HUGE lol. That one went in a binder.
Use a two hole punch that has an edge guide and it would be nice to have a paper cutter to make every cut in half exactly straight and in the center. Use Gaffing tape which is what musicians use to hold their wires/cables down, it looks like the same stuff she used, If you don't want to use the metal binder and have to make the holes, discover what the appropriate glue would be to use on the back edge and apply the tape. [Gorilla glue for book binding] Maybe use upholstery cloth strips in combination with the glue to make it super strong. You can also do this in Portrait mode double side on standard print paper for an extra large print book for those of that have bad eyes, just uses twice the paper since you only get two pages per sheet instead of four.
I'm 29 and I live in a country in south America where it's very hard to get English books I want to read. I have not been reading books for YEARS because of that but now there is NO excuse. I MUST be reading books for self development. Thank you for making this video

Quick questions: What was the font size and page set up for this? Did you do page break in between pages or did the bookfold setting automatically adjusted everything?

I can't get my printer to make booklet style. So we have a two sides paper size of The Tale of Padd y Muscrat. Trying to decide if I want to bind it or three hold punch it or use my comb binding machine. Thank you for the video. Hope you feel better.
Michelle Channell I have heard of people using software to print booklet style too.. Maybe something to look into? Although the full size is nice for kids that are new to reading, I think it might use more ink that way.
It probably does use more ink. I will have my husband see if he can change the printer. But the larger size is good for the books my ten yr old with very bad eyesight. 😊

I’m here to print out my favorite fanfics cause my school is gonna start being really strict on phones (if your caught with your phone they could take it with no warning take it to the office and you pick it up after school) so i decided to find a way to make them to physical books so i don’t get bored in class 😅

Hello, I wanted to know if Cardstock is used for all of the pages or only the cover page? And if so, do you use just regular copy paper for the other pages?
