Do you use software for your Kanban system? Would love to learn more about how you manage workflows and inventory management for that many orders daily.

Can you give some details on your print setup process that is done remotely? Was that through something like fiver or upwork? What skill set did you look for in finding that person? What does that cost? etc. etc. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for watching! We will probably be doing a video about this soon but we use a work site that connects us with Skilled workers so yeah basically Fiver, Upwork, ect (I don’t remember what we used) and we then find and interview canidates remotely and once we find the right person, we hire them and they join our team working from their home office or location. Compensation is varied but we negotiate a wage with the worker they are happy with. Generally it is a little more affordable than US labor, so typically between 1000-1500 a month for someone who might cost 2000-2500 in the states. Not everything is just about saving money but it would be silly to pretend it’s not a factor. However, aside from a small labor savings, a lot of what our remote worker does is tedious work that was really slowing us down and needs to be done before we print so having someone working on an opposite shift to have orders ready to print when our printer and shipper comes in is super efficient. We collaborate on Slack/Trello and Dropbox along with a few other platforms. All of us use Adobe products for printing/print setup so once things are uploaded in Dropbox by our remote worker someone at our office can immediately access those print files. So as far as skill set they needed to have remote collaboration skills, adobe illustrator/photoshop skills and general computer skills for working with Dropbox/Trello and other work platforms.

Did you figure a quicker way how to process multiple designs into one jig print file when we upload to RasterLink?

We use the symbol files functionality in Adobe Illustrator to organize all our designs. So we drag the design/symbol file into the .so file, change what we need to change. We don’t use any of the RasterLink functions that let you multiply a specific file. Let me know if that answered your question.
