hey thanks for the video, i was wondering do i need a special printer for this despite having the sublimation paper in my possession? i have an HP djekset series laser printer will it work? thank you
how to get to perfect black color I'm not able to get perfect black colour i'm setting the temperature 190degree Celsius for 130 sec it looks like greenish and side corners are brownish please help
Hi @41Mussic, there's a lot of way that you could try. 1.is that the actual settings that works with your mugs? brownish sometimes cause due to overcooked, try to reduce it to 60-80 secs. (2). make sure you're using CMYK, then change the black to (C=20, M=20, Y=20, K=100).. i hope it helps.
Malaysia Rock thank you for your feedback... as long as it is compatible with sublimation ink. I recommend to ask your Ink supplier first, if the ink is compatible with your printer...
I’m jelous of phone case printing service , you send them the picture and they print for you and they earn money from it and makes me want to do it but I know I’m too lazy
i think flat iron is fine but i dont recommend because you won't get the right color. we need a consistent temperature for the heat. otherwise the color will be dull.
Hi!! This video is very helpful. ❤️ i just started my phone case business and I struggle with my printer. Did you have to adjust the colors of the image before printing to get the exact outcome as the one seen the screen? Because i have the Epson L310 and the outcome always come out as darker and it makes pastel colors dark/neon if i dont adjust the image before printing. Am i doing something wring or do i need to get a new printer? Hopefully you can answer!
Hi katie, i thought i replied on this few days ago, but i dont know why it didn’t show up here. Anyway, i experienced the same thing and wasted lots of sublimated materials. I suggest to calibrate your printer and your computer, i did it manually, time consuming and i also wasted couple of mugs(i used mugs for calibration because it is kore cheaper) but worth it. I adjusted the color using curves, just drag it everytime i need it.
Hi roxy, your ink should be for Sublimation. Not sure if your printer can be converted to Sublimation ink. I recommend to visit a Sublimation ink supplier nearby to your area..
When I print and then sublimate the black colour starts turning navy blue and then all these bubble effect starts to appear. Not sure what I’m doing wrong 😑
Hi Little Chums, for your color issue.. try to watch this video. (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Cfa1xMk05_U.html) it will definitely solve your issue... for your the bubble.. it normally because of the settings.. try to increase the temp. or sometimes it is also because of the Metal sheet.. in this case, we dont have any choice.
Hi! Is there any specific printer that you can recommend? I'm Actually a student and I'm planning to open a small business but im still confused on what printer should i buy.
hi, i want to start my own small business putting photos on mugs and phone cases. can you please let me know a few things. one, what printer should i buy and where from and how much, and what other materials do i need. also, when you buy phone cases, where do you get them from.
hi Diane, im using epson L805 printer converted to sublimation and another for DTF. I suggest, you better go to the nearest supplier so you can avail a warranty. all my printers, inks and materials comes from the same company. you also need to build a good relationship with them so they will always help. you in any troubleshooting that you may need in the future.
Hi Juliana, im not sure with the model, much better if you could visit a Sublimation ink supplier and ask them if it is compatible...most of the printers use for Sublimation are epson but I’m not sure if all the model can be converted.
Hi simsalina, not sure if that printer will be compatible to convert to sublimation..much better if you could check with the supplier of ink..i'm using epson L805.
Hi Itskam, there are lot of factors to be consider in sublimation.. are you using sublimation ink, sublimation paper and sublimated materials? if your answer on these three are yes, then it might be the heat settings on your heatpress...
Whats the best printer for these projects that I can buy. Great quality, affordable, and reliable > would yu say that your printer is pretty reliable, and a good option ?
Hi jaylin, there are lots of printers, epson or sawgrass. Mine is epson L805, I dont have any issue with it and I think it is reliable, the only thing is it is only for A4 size, i will upgrade with diff model with A3 size eventually, but I think it is a good start for beginners. Aside from printer you still have a lot of things that need to complete, so for me, you don’t have to spend much while you’re testing the water...
I’m getting an Epson ET-2710 as soon as it comes back in stock where I’m getting it from. I’ll let you know how good it is when I get to try it out. :)
Hi there, LOVELY Video!! great work! is there any chance of us getting the PSD file where everything is pre-measured for us so we can just drag the picture in and then print in the requiered settings. that would be great thanks and keep it up!!!
Hi Vanessa, i am not sure if this model can be convert to sublimation ink. better if you could visit a sublimation ink supplier to check about your model.
I am designing back cover for iphone 13 pro max 6.7", by watching your video, I am still not able to size my print area. can you tell me how can I place guides for it so that I know where the print trim area is, and the extra bleed?
better to check the dimension of the case, then make sure that the photo and text is far from the camera whole. what software you're using for designing and printing?
My 13yr old daughter wants to start making phone cases. I want to help her but we are having a hard time in finding the right program for the designs and what size to print the images. Any suggestions please 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hi Jasmine, sorry for the late reply, I'm using photoshop but you can try any program to edit your picture, then print it using microsoft word, what important is to resize the image as per your phone case and then print it. dont forget to use sublimation paper, ink and sublimated phone case.
Hi Thank you for your video , I have two questions 1- Will there be a noticeable edge of the print on the case ? As in, if I touch it, is it obvious that it's not directly printed on the case and it's been transferred ? 2- Where can I buy these materials ? Thank you
Hi Xe4me, 1. there will be no noticeable edge and it will be as smooth as the material aluminum material. i recommend to check suppliers near you so you could check it first.
I have an issue with getting the image to transfer. I have an Epson 2720 and converted it to a sublimation printer and I have sublimation paper I put my heat machine at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 min but nothing transfers to my phone blanks. I also make sure to remove the plastic but still nothing.
Hi Patricia, Try to increase the time, is your phone case designed for Sublimation? if it still didn’t work, there might be an issue either in Paper, ink and phone case....these three should all be for sublimation..or maybe you’re also printing on another side of the paper..that are the posibilities that I am thinking at the moment... keep me posted...
Hello Kucina, may supplier po malapit sa amin.. kaya dun ako nakabili...try nyo po makahanap ng malapit sa inyo..para makahingi kayo ng advise...sa tamang settings.
bro sorry for the hate i had a bad day, can you explain me in min 1:00 you made 2 guidelines 1 on 4,06 and 1 on 3,96 after that you made like 10 guidelines but you didnt show us how can you explain pls
1. Measure your metal sheet 2. Make a guidelines same with your metal sheets(phone case) to make sure that the main image and text will be inside the actual image. 3. If for example, the actual size of your metal sheet is 7cm x 15cm.. make your image bigger. Let say put a bleed of 2mm each side. So that during the Sublimation.. you will still be able to cover the whole image even if you misaligned during the heat press...
hello I am struggling very hard with not having white marks as the case is scorching with the heat press what do I do?? I’m wasting so much product and tried everything
Dot360 Printing Tutorial thanks a lot for the info. Can i use regular print+ink or it has to be sublimate printer and ink also if I converted my printer to sublimate do i get the same results as let say sawgrass. Thanks again.
@@MndoAlmndlauy you can use a normal inkjet printer as long as you change the ink to sublimated ink. check with your ink supplier first if your printer is ok to convert to sublimation. good luck.
Hello! I want to start a small business selling phone cases and i’m using cricut design space to print my images but it’s not letting me print. Do you have any tips for me so I can print out my images? Thank you!
Hi Alexis, if you already have an image, you can use microsoft word and print as per the size. it doesn't mattter what application you use. what important is your paper, ink and phone case are for sublimation.
hi, to get the best result, you must use sublimation ink and sublimation paper.... phone case should be sublimated material as well.. even if you use subli paper and ink if your phone case is not sublimated.. it won't work.
HI Emonii, not sure if the model is for sublimation, i recommend to visit a sublimation ink supplier nearby to your place to check what type of subli ink you can use for your printer.
Hi Rei, Im not sure with your model, much better if you could seek an advise to those who supply sublimation ink. they can also recommend better ink base on your printer.
Hi Ash, honestly speaking, I am not sure with the brother MFC-J995DW, i assumed we can use any deskjet printer, because for sublimation, what matter most are the Ink, Paper and the material that you will sublimate. These 3 should all be for designed for sublimation. but still, it is much better if you could ask your ink supplier if you can convert your printer. - good luck.
