EDIT Sorry about the Robotic voice sound in this video! I thought it was just my laptop speakers when I was editing it.
In this video, I use Gimp to process an image I took a couple of months ago. I mostly use Photoshop for post processing, but decided to give Gimp a try. I downloaded Gimp when I first started astrophotography, but I was pretty much overwhelmed, and I ended up abandoning it. It is a great piece of software for post processing, but I haven't used it long enough to manually fix some issues that arise in this video. I use several plugins for Photoshop that speed up and make processing much easier. My next processing video will be with Photoshop, as I am more familiar with that workflow, but I still have very much to learn on there as well.

Wow, I have seen other gimp tutorials, but yours for some reason made me understand what one should be aiming for. Thanks for taking the effort and time, much appreciated.

Thanks! I only messed around with GIMP for about 3 weeks before making this video. I have A LOT to learn on there. I got lazy with plug ins on Photoshop from day one, so I didn’t learn a lot of useful tools by just using plugins that do the work for you. 😂 I’m going to hopefully improve on that as well in the future. Thanks for the comment!

i can`t make starnetv2 run on my pc no matter what i do, just an error pop-up....is there a compatibility issue..? i`m using windows 11/64bit

I had that same issue as well. When I first started using version 1, it would work. Somewhere along the way, I kept getting an error where it would just be a dark frame when it completed. When star xterminator came out, I bought it and I never used starnet again until I made this video. One thing I noticed was that a 32 bit image will not run right in there. Make sure you convert your image to a 16 bit TIF before running it in starnet.
