Thank you very much for this Easter present. It worked on my 2005 GMC Yukon XL Denali. I've tried others' directions without success. Your video instructions were clear and easy to follow. The opener in my 2005 GMC Yukon XL Denali now works. You are appreciated.
@@noahenglert IDK, I could try the approach you suggested, but I think that the remote is too small and inanimate for the "f it" method to work! I don't see that as a viable option and will stick with the other process he demo'd
@@paulschroeder4854 i actually did smore research and unfortunately my garage door doesn't have a "learn" mode😂😂😂😂 i will go through my manuel and see what i can figure out otherwise it's a fuck it hahaa
Worked for my 2015 mustang EcoBoost although I had to use the main button on the garage opener itself then I held down the middle button for 5 seconds with the car running then I let go of the middle button for 2 seconds then pressed down a second time for about 5 seconds again when the door started to come down. Then i pressed it again and it opened up.. so glad it's so much easier than fumbling around with that garage control.
So... my garage home base doesn’t seem to have any sort of buttons in it. I looked in all sides. I have a Lincoln mkx, with the built in buttons. I tried following the instructions exactly and the lights did exactly what you’d say they would... the started blinking slow then fast. But it still won’t pair. I did it about 10 times with the same results and even tried a different one of the 3 buttons in my car.
Question - All the videos say hold the two outter buttons to clear - Your two outter buttons are not the one with the Home sign....My two outter buttons are one with the home sign ands one without. Any clarification on that?
I have a 1997 Jaguar XK8. I did everything as you said and it still did not work. I held it down the 1st and 3rd button. It did what you said. I held the garage door opener up to it like you said. It did the blinking. Push the button and did not work. I repeated 4 or 5 times and still did not work. The Garage door is a Genie. Does that matter?
I have a 2014 Buick Enclave that I’m having trouble programming. I’ve pressed LEARN on my Chamberlain Whisper Opener and tried multiple times to get the Buick Universal button to work. I’ve programed successfully two remotes. Help?
What if the Craftsman Garage Door Remote is lost or no longer working? 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis... I programmed my previous vehicle without the remote, but I am unable to perform same on this one (2003 Homelink vs. 2008 Homelink) Do you have any advice or guidance? Thanks!!
Hi Scott, The first idea that comes to mind would be to buy a new remote. You can order these online easily and pair it with your opener. Then, follow these steps. If I find any other solutions I will be sure to update you. Good luck! Please share if you find a solution :)
Call homelink. Theyll either walk you through it or, based on your garage door opener, sell you a necessary “signal bridge module. Im buying mine on Amazon this week.
How do I do this without a transmitter. I programmed my older GMC Yukon without having the transmitter and it was very easy. I recently purchased a newer Jeep, and it's just working. Any help will be appreciated.
Hi! There may be a way to do it without a remote (I have not done it this way before), but you could inexpensively purchase a remote online, pair it with your opener, then follow these steps. Good luck!
I have a Craftsman 139.54920 and a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan I have tried the instructions in the video and it won't learn. Do you have any additional suggestions. I believe that it is a Security +2
Hey, great video but for some reason my truck isn't pairing with the remote I have for my garage door. I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer LS, and I've gone through the learning steps but I can't get the indicator to flash the successful pairing indication. Any ideas? Is my truck just too old for this opener?
I can program all three of my cars to open one Genie garage door. Unfortunately when I program one car, it forces the other two cars to lose their connection. So in effect, I can only have one car programed at a time. This is so inconvenient.
I am having problems pairing my 08 Cadillac Escalade with Entry Gate & Liftmaster Garage Door opener. Had no problem with wife’s 2016 Cadillac SRX. Any suggestions to my older model?
Mine is not working and neither is it turning orange right away when I press the two buttons. Is it possible that I have a short somewhere or maybe I need to replace the fuse? It never turns orange at all no matter what buttons I press.
Not working for me. I don't have a garage door opener. But I'm held first and third button for 30 seconds and it reset those buttons. Then I pressed learn on the garage motor. Then I came back to car and held the first button for over a minute and nothing changed
What do you do if you don't have a remote, your only way to open the garage is from another car's homelink, and you got rid of that car and now you have another car with homelink but no remote????
Hi HR, you may need to purchase a new remote to pair with your opener first. Then you can use that remote to pair your car. Replacement remotes can usually be purchased online for not a huge cost.
Worked on my 2006 Acura TL ( which is essentially an Accord ) but unfortunately not on my 2001 Honda Odyssey. I lost my owner's manuals that is why I have to look online for setting up the garage opener. It is kind of weird since both came from the same company.
Hi, yes! The easiest would be to purchase new remotes that are compatible with your opener model. You should be amble to find these fairly easily online or at a hardware store. Once you have the new remote(s) you can program it, the use it to program your vehicle!
There’s usually a different process just adding additional remotes, vs resetting and adding new. Depending on your vehicle, it’s usually very similar, just skipping a step or two.
I can not get mine to program. I get the rapid flashing light but then it will just slow blink. I have tried the remote and the learn button. No success
@@MichaelHooten85 incase you still need an answer. on the garage door machine inside your garage, there’s a little red button. you press that then hold the button in your car to pair it! you should have 30 seconds but works best if you have 2 people :)
If you have more than 1 button (most vehicles have 3) you can pair the remaining two buttons to any other garage opener. This includes at a second house!
