I searched for a hour trying to get help programming new sounds on my shockwave. Then I found this video. Great job with all of the step by step instructions. You saved the day thanks!
Page Farms I’m glad you liked it and it helped you out. Thanks for subscribing and I hope you enjoy my hunting videos. I’m hoping to get out soon and start thinning a few more coyotes out. More videos to come!
Hey Steve! Thank you for producing what I am calling "FoxPro Programming for Dummies!". The nice thing about having these processes explained on video is that I can follow along, pausing where and when I need to, replaying a step should I need the step explained again either for detail or for clarity and then moving on to the next step. With any luck I'll shortly have my Fusion updated with some new sounds and have those same sounds placed in the correct category on the TX-1000. Fingers crossed.
@OutDoors 406 With only a couple exceptions, the video is pretty much self explanatory. The exceptions are not due to any errors on your part when this video was published in Jan 2018, they are primarily due to some recent updates FoxPro has made to the programmer utility. For eg, for some reason the "drag and drop" feature is no longer available and it's more like a "cut and paste" feature. Still a worthwhile video. Thx
Paul Koehler interesting I’ve never heard of that issue. I use the newest version of the FP utility and it’s still drag and drop. I was reprogramming my e-caller today and changing my categories. Make sure you have the latest updates from FoxPro. Sounds like you got it to work anyway.
@Outdoors 406 After scratching my head a bit on the issue of drag/drop vs cut/paste, I took a look at your version of the FoxPro programming utility and my version. After talking with the FoxPro techs today I discovered your version (V4.6.56) does allow drag/drop but the newest version (V2.1.23 1/10/2020) does not. I don't know why the change in features but the two versions do function similarly, just not the same.
You’ll need to look in the booklet or go on the fox pro website for your unit to see what cord you need. They don’t always come with the cord for programming the units.
Hey what happens when i go to back up it always gets stuck on 153. Why is that? I called fox pro and they said maybe a corrupted file but don’t need to hit back up so u be ok🤷🏻♂️
Hello, after downloading few sounds from foxpro website for my shockwave model and yes they are coded for shockwave i followed all the steps on your video here but for some reason my additional sounds are not showing up on the remote control, i have updated remote controller as well just as shown in your video. Any idea why this might be happening?
Do you see them on the hard drive when you have it plugged into the shockwave, or if you print out the sound list are they showing up on the list? If not then they didn't upload to the unit. If you are seeing them then for some reason they are not uploading to your remote. You may need to try re-syncing your remote again. Make sure you have fresh batteries when doing this. This may sound dumb but, did you extract your files before you tried to upload them? Just trying to think of what it could be.
Everything that i did was correct except for the part of programming the remote control. For Foxpro Shockwave models the way to update the remote is to go through menu settings on the remote itself not with foxpro sound programming utility, its very simple and straight forward. Thank you for getting back to me on this matter and happy hunting!
Eric Struebel are you talking a western rivers call? I’ve not uploaded sounds on that call but their all pretty similar. Let me know exactly what caller it is, I’m sure I could figure it out pretty quickly.
I used to have one years ago. I don’t remember off hand how that one syncs up. Go to the FoxPro site and get the phone number of FoxPro and they will be glad to help you. They are great about service !
