How to program with your Autel, Launch, TOPDON, ThinkCAR, Etc 

I am confused... do I need to replace the 02 when I get a lean code? Then I program it right? Will my Snap-On program that? Thanks in advance..😑

Would be very useful to make an additional video comparing module cloning capabilities instead of programming of diffrent tools, as like you described, aftermarket programming is not so available. We need a tool that can do cloning and immo well, and to know which makes have the option to make a replaced ECU functional with aftermarket tools. Thanks alot

Thinkcar has about 12 makes unlocked for cloud programming if you can use vpn including new virgin modules . They def are all spotty however. It’s frustrating when people think coding is programming however.

I would love to see a more detailed video on how to use a J2534 and what it takes to program a module. I realize this would include having to pay to connect to a manufacturer's website etc.

Autel doesn't make this clear on their website at all.

Ive had great luck updating modules to latest version. Find it strange you didnt mention the "update" capabilities of these tools. Programming a used or new module these tools are useless.

Im on the market for a mid-level $400 range scan tool, and it can be overwhelming with all the "false" advertising like, bidirectional, programming, mode 6, mode 8, FULL OBD2, clones and so on..... Is like saying your new scanner is Gluten Free!! lol Could you recommend a "decent" mid-level ($400) scanner that does it "A̶L̶L̶" MOST? I'll be using it with a 2009 Avalanche 4wd, 1998 Z28 and 2005 Jeep. Thanks!!

Do you have a favorite or your "go to" j2534 device? Also can the mongoose plus program other brands? Or is it limited to the designated brand i buy for?

Hey i have a question ive tried to program a 6l80E TCM in a 2008 pontiac g8 with sps2 and it gives me an error code E2907 we have checked the harness its good but keep getting that error.

Can the autel mk908p ii, im508s and topdon phoenix plus , clone / write vin to the me9.7 ecu and vgs3nag2 mercedes w204 c300 4matic??? Also does it lock you out when you dont pay your subscription? And lastly roll back a programming newly done on an ecu precisely the me9.7 bosch benz ecu ? Im asking cos i recently used launch to update my ecu for my w204 2010 mercedes c300 4matic and now it suddenly throws up hood sensor not cominicating and back seat rest not lashed , and my vehicle doesnt have any of these sensors equipped cos i did a thorough sweep of the vehicle , especially the hood lash , no sensor whatsoever ,

Any video reviews on the Topdon Plus vs Lauch X431 Pro vs Autel MK906 within the $1,200 range cant find any comparing to find the best bang for the buck to work best on GM and Chevrolet, Ford Etc..?

Make a longer video

Right proprietary software comes from manufacturers only. Upgrading, updating and properly programing a module should always be done through proprietary software. These scan tools can corrupt that orignal software quick. Think of it as a cheap copy of software.

Super stupid question. I have an Ultra and I know the VCI is J2534. If I wanted to use that for say ODIS, How do I set it up?

Well he is right. Launch and autel do a good job with euro programming but even that is about 60-85 at best!! You may need 2 or 3 different scan tools to finish it. The rest of the manufacturers you can try, but you better have quoted the worst case scenario as far as fees go and have the necessary VCI with laptop software ready. Or know how to fix it if the launch and autel screw something up.

Yes I really would like to find out where they sell these the scan tools and then go on from there I would like to learn about this class and that I really appreciate it because I'm over here in Arizona north of Arizona and that's where I'm located a lot of these people out here they have new cars and they're really having a problem with the diagnostic and the engine service lights are on so that's why I wanted to see how much the class is from the beginning to start from there
