Spent a couple of days at a local BMX park with Joe and the MTB Hopper. Really trying to work on body position in my jumps, especially standing. Felt like I made some progress and looking forward to pushing the techniques after putting this together. Big thanks to Joe for being so patient with me. He’s a great human being.
As always, thanks for tagging along and see ya on the trail

Yeah, it's so hard when you're getting on a bit. I'm still trying to get that 'stand up to the jump' thing. Just got to keep at it, might master it by the time I'm 90. Thanks for filming, Andy

I'm 51 and started up again after many years of not riding. I had hip resurfacing done last year it's giving me a new lease of life!

Nice work Mike... Those little kicker rams really are worth the money... Easy to move around and set up... And open up a whole HEAP of extra opportunity to get some practice in when you normally wouldn't have the chance to (without travelling to another location)... Nice prgress as well... Good job buddy... And keep it up!

Thanks Phil. Yeah, the ramp was worth every penny. The amount of reps to build muscle memory is amazing. I’m going to start making sound effects moving forward since it appears to help with your jumping😁. Appreciate you my friend.

Awesome video I’m having same problem but it reminds me of my motocross days. There was this finish line jump that always had a kicker and I always complained to track maintenance to fix it until I figured out I needed more speed stand up and push my body over handlebars. For some reason I also get scared when I get to jumps and slow down a bit. Have to conquer my fear this year . 👍

Nice man looks like you are having a blast. One thing I would recommend working on is pre-loading before you start to hit the ramp. Apply pressure downward as you are approaching the jump. That will help you come off the jump more controlled and be more controlled in the air. Both of you guys weren’t pre-loading which is why right when you both come off the jump your bikes pop upward towards your bodies. What you are doing there is more of a scrub/speed technique. Just my two cents. Glad you guys are having fun and getting better. Ps. How do you like that jump? Which one is it? Quick set up once you’re on-site? I’ve been looking into getting one.

Appreciate the feedback and coaching. Need to get my mind to trust the load. I have the Ninja Hopper. Set up is less than a minute. Expensive, but I feel it’s worth it. So much adjustment and it’s light enough to move after assembly. Thanks for watching.
