Hola todos! In the example for the letter U, book, you will have an accent like someone from Britain or Scotland, or maybe even eastern Canada. In most parts of English speaking Canada , words that have the “ U” sound for example are: moon, soon, loon, noon, broom. Book just has a different sound that is hard to describe in words. English is a crazy language 🤪

Correct. The sound in book (which is the same as the sound in foot for example) is different from the sound in moon, soon, etc. Spanish u sounds like moon, not like book.

I'm spanish and i think that also the sound in Good is not U, right? Because I hear it different it's like in the word book

@@vetcyvee861 Absolutely correct! As in my first comment moon soon loon noon broom boot hoop moose goose AND google have the spanish U sound. To make it even more difficult, words like look took book brook good foot logically should sound like the words above but they don’t and i have no idea how to describe the sound, and i am a Canadian English speaker. Just a matter of listening and experience i guess.

for swedish people (it seems that) spanish o = swedish å spanish u = swedish o so need to remember to switch those!

Because of the letters next to or before. This is important. DES and DA sound different. A trick is saying it per parts: Des - a - for - tu - na - da - men - te 😊

no man, the trick for spanish is that vowels always has just one sound. just say it as it was written.

jajajja no se porque se les complica a los gringos solo tener un solo sonido por vocal. la verdad es bien bonito poder hablar y decir la palabra tal cual como esta escrita. nada de que la A va a somar como ey aqui y luego como A. y la verdad el ingles hablado y escuchado es mas dificil que el español y no se porque se les dificulta tanto las vocales.

I love your channel but please correct this. The word book in English the oo does not sound like letra u. OO in English makes two sounds. The word for the letra u sound is boot. Sorry Brenda but you’re pronouncing book wrong. It’s a huge difference. Love the content!
