How to properly fit an R7s Double ended Halogen bulb into a socket 

This video was made in 2012.... But if you are still using this account I just wanted to say thank you! Did not realize some of the bulbs happened to be halogen when I bought my place. You have saved me a lot of frustration!

Very clear instruction. I had this replaced by an electrician about six months ago and I watched him while he installed it. Had I not had your instruction...I would have had to call him again with a hefty price tag attached. GREAT INSTRUCTION!! I had the bulb replaced in 5 minutes, tops!!! RU-vid IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

Great tips! Maybe also explain why you handle halogen bulb with a cloth (to prevent grease from fingers from getting on bulb and burning from high temperature).

Thank you for emphasizing that you had to push hard to get the bulb to fit or I would have been scared I would break the bulb. I watched another video and they guy just said "push down and put it in" but didn't expain it would be hard and didn't even showing himself fitting the bulb in. Your video was so helpful!

The lamp to repllace fucking broke on me. I was fighting for my life, scared as shit holding the strong ass springs so I could get the fucking lamp in. Good tutorial. Traumatising experience.

Hi Ingo, by what percentage does fitment of a 60W linear halogen bulb to a school-age child's ceiling fan light (ie. it is off when they are at school) reduce the manufacturer's stated bulb life of 2000 hours?
