I have read many articles. I found reflective paint works almost same as lime wash+favicol ddl. I have applied lime . 1 kg lime + 330 gm favicol ddl + 2 ltr water for 350sqft of 1 layer. I have applied total 3 layer. Temperature is reduced around 5 degree and in evening roof cools down quickly. Estimate cost was around 500 INR. Before applying lime , wash the roof properly using iron brush. I have tested pouring water on applied lime , it's not getting washed away. You need to apply this process after every 2 year
I applied 2 liters of cool paint on the roof. Cost only rs. 350 only for 20/20 feet. I could feel the difference clearly. I think it will work for 2 summers. This gunny bags also must work
In theory, the white color reflects light back. However, it is not a permanent solution. You need to maintain the white paint almost every year to get the results. It only cools down 5 degrees. However, if you cover (tent) your flat roof area with material that is currently available, it protects the roof from sunlight and it is also aerated. Though expensive, in the long run, this is much more effective to escape from the sun. The bottom line is, prevent the sun rays from hitting your terrace. The product they are selling in the market cost 6500 rupees. This is a rip-off!! A cheaper white wash (if you chose to do so), is to do a lime white wash. However, like I said before, you got to do this every year. You need to keep all sides of the house while to avoid concrete getting hit by the sun rays. Having vegetation surrounding your house will prevent some heat. But, the terrace area, you need to cover it up with materials that will hold in place permanently.

If we use this coating, then water flown from terrace in rainy season will be polluted with mercury arsenic etc. So water bodies get pollited and we will get back in tap water.
You should say what language it uses if its not in English. He should have used an extension for the paint roller, so he doesn't bend down. Dont say it avoids releasing carcinogenic particles. Only asbestos, when broken or drilled, can release carcinogenic particles.
Just any white cement should do the same trick. No need to spend big bucks on these products. Slick white surface reflects lights and black absorbs light. One of the components of light is "infrared radiation" which is the source of heat. Reflecting light will reflect some amount of infrared radiation.
