What is D-Link wifi router?

D-Link is networking equipment company which manufactures router. It basically routes the internet connection in two ways 1)LAN(Local Area Network) and WLAN(Wireless only - Local Area Network). D-Link has the antenna and Ethernet cable port, former send internet signal to wireless devices such as mobiles and tablets and later send internet signal to wired devices like PC and TV.

I hope you are very much aware of this protection and it is the most common way to protect the wifi signal. Follow the below steps to secure D-link with password if you have not done already
Give power to D-Link router through the charger.
Connect the Ethernet cable from D-Link router(Port-1) to your PC or laptop Ethernet port.
Launch Chrome and go to IP address given in the D-Link manual. For most of the D-Link router, it’ll be 192.168.0.
The login page will appear with default username Admin.Click the login to go inside.
Now you could see the D-Link modem configuration page
Navigate to wireless tab as shown in the below image. Don’t change the wireless network settings.
In the security, options select WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK AES and enter the password in the Pre-shared key textbox.
Click apply to save the settings.
