thank you. i just got hacked and lose some money from my steam wallet. just reinstalled my PC cuz things get out of hand but now atleast i can prevent that from happening again
" reinstalled my PC " you formated it ? i have been hijacked 2 weeks ago , got 2 of my most valuable items stolen/traded to some bot acc without steam guard notifying me ( guess they had acess to my mobile authenticator... ) i changed password, revoked api, and logged out from all devices, removed the authentocator and acitvated again ( Reseted it ), do i need to format my pc ? i installed malware bytes but my pc seems fine.
Hello! Probably late to the party. Thanks for making this! Are you absolutely sure there are no drawbacks to revoking/removing your API key? It kind of raises the question as to why Valve would give them out in the first place
bro my steam account gets hacked plz help me plz he is changed my id my password also my gmail id and phone no. i write letter to steam support but noresponse please help me plz😔😔
After changing your password (and all these other steps), one last thing you can do if you think someone is already on your account is to go into "settings" -> "security" -> press "deauthorize all devices". This just kicks everyone who currently has access to your account off of it. HOWEVER, this includes yourself, so MAKE SURE you remember your username and password before doing this!
bro ty so much i just fount out i was logined from states no where near my state and started freaking out i lost my other account the same way and looked up videos how to kick the poeple out and stuff, this video helped me so much
Thx for taking the time and effort of making this video, and for sharing Your knowledge. I'm a bit "confused" as I could have sworn there was a setting for "log out when closing steam". And I was used to, AND LIKED it, that I had to log in every time I started up steam... Because it meant that it didn't save any "session cookie" as they not only allows others with access to my computer to use my account, but also are a potential "security risk". BUT "now", since a month or so I haven't been prompted to Login when starting Steam, AND I can not find the setting...AND it seems like it has never existed !? ?? So it must have been me clicking the ""remember me"" by mistake ??. How ever I really think that there should be a setting for this in the "steam settings" as well... As it does raise security (a tiny bit, but every bit helps ;) Best regards.
I tried doing the trade URL thing but whenever I go there it just says inventory is private and shows me nothing EDIT: Also when I go to profile to make it private, I don't see the Edit Profile button!
My account got hacked. Someone changed my password and email. And I had everything turned on. Can someone help?!!! edit: I did got my account back. thanks for the video it really helped!

Thank you I wish I found this before I got hacked. They used it and scammed other with it and after people reported it. Steam banned my account I talked with support but I failed to save it lost over a year of work.

Got either ip hacked or api hacked, bro said "nice knife 🤓" like 1 hour before all my skins were sent to a russian account so he probably got into the router and stole my information
