Thanks for your videos, and I have enjoyed your sessions at the Fisherman's Post educations. I am following your guidance to rig the dredge to the downrigger, but I have not found an appropriate pulley at any of the SE NC tackle shops....could you please share details on what pulley you used that worked?
I personally use mono. The reason is that you are less likely to cut your hand on mono than you would be on braid, if you were in a situation where you had to pull the dredge up/in by hand. I wear gloves but not everybody does. Not to mention, it’s nice to have that stretch from the mono when dealing with strong currents or rough sea conditions. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching. 🙏🏽
Hey ya’ll, thanks for watching! Don’t forget to swing by Saltwater Bait and Tackle located at 501 Atlantic Beach Causeway, Atlantic Beach NC and grab a Bucket Dredge or Strip Dredge. They both come ready to deploy and are user friendly! You can also find those at www.FishRazr.com and you can find BattleAx lures at www.shortriggertacklellc.com Thanks again! ~Slick
@@stevep8871 I use pulleys that I picked up from West Marine. They are around $60 each. You can use anything to tie it off to a cleat. I use one of my dock lines.
