Thanks for another great video/learning tool! I love the fact that your educational cause I LOVE marmosets and want to own one down the road and am trying to learn as much possible beforehand. A making a leash video would be a good one!
I would love to keep knowing how old she’s getting. Are you happy that you have her? I can see how the little cutie pie would keep you busy. You’re such a good daddy.
can you do a sample video of her going to sleep and talking about their sleep habits? i like your videos 🩵 I remember when you first brought her home ... You're very good with her . Thanks for sharing 💛
She is so cute. Thank you for these videos. I’m thinking of getting one. Where did you get yours from. You are so sweet & gentle with her. You’re a great daddy to her. What’s her name???
Have you considered baby chew toys or semi frozen berries for the teething? Your videos are informative, keep up the great work. I'm seriously considering purchasing one.
@@dogsrulebest - and you have a better time along the maturation timeline for a monkey of this type? I realize every animal has different times each according to their type - dogs, cats, baby horses, etc. Are you aware of a different time line? For this type of monkey? Thank you.
@@dogsrulebest - btw, are you referring to all animal mothers grieving when the natural process of an animal 'child' leaving occurs? I have seen some animals start to get rather violent with their young when going through the weaning process but not sure I have seen "grieving".
Would you like to be created in a laboratory and be sold as a pet a few weeks later? Even if they were not taking them from the wild, that I doubt that never happens, by allowing people to have them as pets, sooner or later some sort of illegal trade might happen. These are very social creatures, the mother gives them milk till they are 5 - 10 weeks old. Then, after the weening, the father has to help introducing solid food and encouraging the baby to eat it. These marmosets have a family for a long time. They stay with their group till 2 years old if I don't remember wrong. The babies begin growing and eventually they help the mother and the father with the process of teaching and parenting other new babies. So, that means that the group or family is very close and they share the work of helping each other. The father is really important in teaching the babies marmosets. They are fundamental to their survival. Sometimes they even spend 50 % of their time helping the mother and carrying the baby. As you can see these are very social animals and they need their family. Their life will never be the same if they come from some random laboratory and are adopted by a human. If they are taken from the wild, the damage to the baby and the family is even worse. There is a very good video here in RU-vid of some people that was trying to save a baby marmoset that was trapped under some rubble. When they managed to take it out, the mom was very close watching and waiting. She right away hugged the baby and smelled it. She was so happy !! :3 She sat there, hugging her baby and she almost looked like a person. She was shaking from the happiness, and looking at the people that gave her the baby back. So, animals have feelings too. I can't deny that the temptation is strong. They are super cute, I know. I just think that there is no need to make them suffer. We can't be their real mommy, even when we would like to be so. We can't do the job as well as their real monkey mom. I know we all would like to have something so cute in our house, I am not denying it :3, the truth is that it is just wrong and bad for those animals.
she's adorable and thanx for sharing. I have a question well i live in Boston mass my kids are grown so i now want a new baby and seriously wanting a lil one like yours but need some assistance in where to get one and how much are they heard quite a bit
+Amy Kennett hey! I believe Boston requires a permit. So it’s possible, you’ll just have a few more steps to take. Feel free to email me. Ernestgwinn95@gmail.com. I can answer any other concerns you may have
Ahhh way too cute. I imagine they are as time consuming as a human child, certainly not a ‘cage’ animal to be entertained when the human is bored. People need to realize this with primates.
I'm getting 2 of them, my girl wants 2, I think my son wants 2 as well, I think I'm going to be primary caregiver though; ❤❤❤❤(in the near future) when I live in a state that allows private primate ownersip. I have several questions: 1) do they make diapers to fit them? 2) where would you get them from? 3) can you get all supplies from the person (breeder) that you buy your monkey from? ❤❤❤❤❤
In the very first video that I had seen that you had made I had suggested bite training and leash training as well as having a small stuffed animal for her comfort but you already had hands on information of all this but I wasn't aware of it. I had seen videos of other people with monkeys that didn't know it because they did not get there monkeys from a reputable breeder. Little bit is very comfortable with you and you are doing a great job. God bless you both
Hi could you or have you spoken about the immunizations monkeys need? The other channels that pop into my feed are scary on a hygiene, and abuse way.....theyre out of the country. Is anything done about those do you know? And thank you so very much for sharing your life
@@M235iGuy where can we buy a marmoset I really have room for one in my life they are so cute and I have all the time in the world to train one now thanks for your help and good luck with yours!
Do marmoset bond with more then one person. The only way I would feel comfortable with having a marmoset as a pet is if I was sure my family and I could offer it constant companionship. Meaning 24/7 365. In my mind this is only possible if the marmoset is able to bond with at least 2 pepole and be fine with having both a human mom and Dad.
she's so precious and little and she's teething that is so cute always wanted a monkey since I was a little girl and me and my grandmother went everywhere looking for monkey butt bias living in the Los Angeles area it was very hard if I we went everywhere to every pet store on Vermont because back in the day when I was a little girl there are a lot of pet stores on Vermont but basically aquariums will you buy fish at live fish couldn't find a monkey know where my mother didn't want me to have it but bite me being the only grandchild at that time my grandmother gave me everything my grandmother's never even whooped me not that I was a bad little girl but she's never even spank me or nothing I think it's because I look so much like her as a little girl I was her Mini-Me now I can't get a quarter out of her ass LOL
A tiny harness would be better. But you abandoned her, and don’t even have her anymore anyway. Hopefully she’s being loved, and treated well, and won’t be shuffled around anymore poor baby.
Ernie we can't really hear you you are too far from the mike. I am so glad to see her wearing a diaper. Marmosets sent mark everything and it is a really potent smell. The diapers prevent this. Also invest in some Fabreeze I am sure you can get it in America. It helps kill the smell in your furniture when she is not wearing a diaper.
@@frogspit7030 I was a nanny for 20 years for a Dr in my area I raised my 3 children and then adopted a newborn baby boy he is 22 now I have a medical back ground from college .. If a baby monkey is going to die I would be so excited to help..amazing to have another baby in my life it would be in my arms every minute of the day so sad watching them die I would never want to take a baby from mom but I would be so excited to help a beautiful infant.. Sorry you don't feel they need help? Do you want them to die? Wouldn't it be better to help them? I truly don't understand? Waiting for more information I live in the United States PLEASE inform me as soon as you can thank you for your help and great job helping these infants ❤❤
@@frogspit7030 This is the marmaset they are pets just like a dog why are you saying something about these tiny beautiful babies? I thought you meant a pig tail monkey as one was dieing on a vidio and I replied ...
Thank you for all the wonderful videos Id love to add one to my family someday. However for the time being I will just have to enjoy watching and learning from watching videos
There is a website of a women that lives in Tennessee that breeds and sales them and im pretty sure this is where he got little bit its www.monkeyrus.com
I haven’t seen the video u replied to my question about where u got her yet, u said u were going to make a video about it. I want to buy one but they vary so much in price any help u can give would greatly appreciated!
+Jscjr I was only able to record one of the 2 videos because of the holiday. But really they cost between $3000-$5000 any less it most likely a scam. Most of the people who are trying to give them up for “ adoption are just trying to scam you. If you can be patient I’ll foresee have a full detailed video this weekend
+Evolving Poodle she would be around the size of a water bottle full grown. And also most of questions I’ve answered in all my newer videos if you’d like to check them out!
TIME CONSUMING AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME DON'T GET ONE. tHEY ARE SOCIAL ANIMALS AND NO MATTER WHAT OLD ERNIE HERE TELLS YOU THEY WILL BE MISERABLE LEFT ALONE ALL DAY WHILE YOU ARE AT WORK ETC. AND DO NOT GET TWO.
She’s so cute.. keep track of her weight ..I heard they need to be weighed every week to be sure they gain the proper amount of weight.. you probably know this already 💞
You speak as if you're talking about a car. This is a wild animal who should have the right to be left alone in it's wild habitat. AND don't think the fact that selfish , greedy breeders sell them makes it any better. The mothers are bred constantly and then their babies are taken away almost immediately, it's CRUEL and unessesary. GET A CAT OR DOG.
@@frogspit7030 some of us love them better then their own mothers did or would! How about you watch all the vids of the mean mother monkeys killing their babies
If yall find this info, I would also like to have the info on these pretty little babes.... . I like the pygmy marmoset better than just the plain marmoset
@@dangray4322 How could you possibly know how the animal feels living in a cage it's whole life?? Maybe you need a few years in a cell so you could understand what it's like. J S is right. This guy nor anyone else has the right to take these animals from their wild habitat for their own selfish entertainment. So until youv'e spent half your life in a cage don't suppose to know how these animals feel.
dogs were wild animals and are now domesticated. Cats are like that too. Still people think that wild animals as pets are wrong. If you can support an animals lifestyle and keep them healthy and happy, you can have anything as a pet.
Mihran Playz right on -so it’s obvious this loser wasn’t able to do that. It takes a selfless human being to be a good animal parent. This kid didn’t have any idea what he was getting himself into! Like most ignorant people who buy animals just for show and then cage them up most of their lives! That’s absolutely disgusting! I think it should be a law that you should have to take classes and pass a test to own an animal of any kind unless it’s a fish 🐠! Maybe he should’ve bought a fish! Hopefully , he doesn’t have any dogs because this shows that he’s not ready to be responsible!
@@mihranplayz3430 Oh, really, does this little creature have her mother and her siblings with her?? Trees, fresh air, freedom to climb and play as she wants IN THE WILD?? These are PRIMATES they live in family groups. YOU ARE WRONG. Dogs were domesticated by cave dwellers for crist's sake how can you compare the two.
@@frogspit7030 1. Is the pet distressed? Is it in a worse condition than it would be in the wild? No. Because it will get all the care it needs. A marmoset doesn't need a marmoset family, it just needs a family. Many dog breeds hunted in packs, now they're normal pets. 2. Would their lifestyle be better in the wild. Be honest, if they were in the wild, they would have to search for food, water and they would need to run from predators. They are more vulnerable to injury and disease too. Their life expectancy is also significantly lower in the wild. 3. Would they get more care in the wild? Of course not. A mother monkey probably has multiple children, and they would have to fend for themselves after a while. A domesticated monkey will have all the care they need (provided that the owner isn't a douche) and will have all the love it needs. The monkey doesn't need to worry about starving or dying of thirst, neither does it have to worry about predators. Also its completely valid to compare a pet monkey to a pet dog, within limits. Both root from wild animals, as do all pets. What makes domesticating a dig different from domesticating a monkey?
This is a wild animal. She belongs in the wild with her family not isolated and forced to live with humans. If you really cared about her and wanted the best for her you’d take her to a reputable sanctuary where she can be the monkey she was born to be.
Well said. This is not some random plastic doll. It is an animal with feelings. This articles show how disturbing can be for primates losing a baby or being separated from their babies: www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/09/210914192804.htm www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK217852/ The first article is called: "Primate mothers may carry infants after death as a way of grieving, study finds." (It says something like this: Some primate species may express grief over the death of their infant by carrying the corpse with them, sometimes for months, according to a new UCL-led study -- with implications for our understanding of how non-human animals experience emotion.) The second article is called: "Monkeys' Responses to Separation and Loss". I lived many years of my life with my aunt. She is a biologist, an specialist in physical anthropology, and in Human Infertility and Reproduction. For a long time of her life she studied primates. She could recognize right away the remains of an Australopithecus, a woman, a child, or a man. I used to be amazed at the fact that she was one of those persons that just by seeing bones could know so much information. I used to go visit her at work in the Institute of Brain Research. They had many monkeys that were studied for their behavior. The monkeys used to have big areas of grass and trees where we would visit them. She loved those monkeys. They had several chimpanzees and other types of monkeys in that institute. I remember Julia and Moncho, they were a chimpanzee couple. I used to go and visit Margarita, she was a baby chimpanzee. All of them were sooo intelligent. Julia was trying to study me because I was a little girl. One day she grabbed me by the shoulder and tried to touch my hair too, she thought that maybe I was something strange and interesting. Margarita used to hug my auntie when we visited her. My aunt has photographs with all those animals. She always keeps Margarita's photo under the crystal of her big dresser. I never forget one day when my aunt gave Margarita a banana. Margarita tried it and then she extended the banana to me. I was supposed to share with her :3 . She wanted to offer me the banana. My aunt told me that I should not reject it because it was a special thing she was offering me, like a present. So, I took the piece of banana, pretended to give it a big bite and gave it back to Margarita. She was satisfied that I had tried some of it. And yes, those monkeys had feelings. My aunt used to talk to me about them. Sometimes they were sad, or they could be playing together, other times they could be mad at something. They acted like people.
You get him girl And if people are going to insist on keeping them as pets. This cage that is not even fit for a parakeet is most definitely not big enough 😑
@@mirandagarrett4231first of all this was years ago, he rehomed her. she was very young here and he ended up upgrading her cage. and this marmoset (and all pet marmosets that are properly cared for) are barely kept in their cage, it’s mainly just for sleeping at night.
