Great video man I have a 98’ yz125 as well and am looking for the same exact set up. Not sure what you mean by the 02 plus sub frame when you were talking about the rear fender. Is there a certain year rear fender I need to get without changing the seat? And if there is a link to the kit you have can you post it in the reply?
So if you want the restyled plastics you will need a 2002 and up gas tank/sub frame, (you only need the sub frame if you want the restyled back fender). I wouldn’t recommend using zip ties like I did lol
why not just save a little more, sell it and get a newer model though? since you could afford the gas tank, the new plastics, etc. I know the video is old and you've probably already done it, but would seem reasonable to do that instead of restyling the old one
