He doesn't mention that Morgan don't glue the sealing rubber strip very well inside the metal channel on the front of the roof assembly, so it's VERY important to make sure that the rubber doesn't 'double over' as you fit it on to the top of the windscreen, otherwise it's very difficult to undo the catches next time. It's much easier to put the roof up if you're sat inside the car. Simply reach back, and pull the hood forward over your head; push the door open if you have door-tops fitted, and you have a good view to sort out that rubber channel, and can get an even pull on the corners, before doing up the latches.
it's very british. you only drive with the top down, and you never drive with the top up. that is why there is no way to seal the driver's side window top when you close the door unless you have someone outside the car to hold up the fabric flap. even then, there is no heater or defroster so moisture and condensation become a big problem... but it looks really cool with 3 windshield wipers.
It's easy to seal the tops of the windows when the hood is up and you are inside the car; get yer finger out and stick it through between top of window and hood. And in the last 20+ years Morgans have heaters and demisters - many have heated windscreens. I drive a 2006 one and yes, rarely with hood up.
I noticed that it’s easier to close the door from the outside so that the rooftop flap covers both indoor and outdoors. So, if you are sitting in the car how do you make sure the outdoor flap is corrected?
You get in the car, slide open the window, put your hand out to adjust the flap and shut the door. It's a faff, but it should be borne in mind that roofs on Morgans are little more than umbrellas - you put them up in emergencies only.
There are just a few convertible cars that can give me a thrill. This reach its objective. It's so iconic. It could watch with a bit of taste and arrogance Aston Martin's stuff with a look which seems to say: "You are pop, I am class."
Super! A fine example of an ambitiously under-engineered top! On the other hand: It keeps you going! You have to move (yourself), you have to pull, drag, push while moving your body! And so what? A Morgan is the opposite of warm showering. And exactly this is the reason, why the car is so much loved by their ownwers and enthusiasts! If you don´t like it - no problem! Keep staying in your comfort-zone, getting lazy, fat and idle!
How untterly primitive! One would expect a convertible top to keep you dry when it is up. Not so, with the Morgan. Even if you stay dry putting the top up, you are gonna get soaked when you drive in the rain from leakage. If you want to stay dry in a MorgAN, DRIVE IT IN THE SUNSHINE.
Mobil ini harganya mahal, semua serba manual, buka atap manual, jendela manual bahkan AC'nya pun ikut manual alias AC alam.. Jadi mobil murahan dah.!!! 😀😀
