I've worn contacts since I was 16 I'm 55 now! I've had long acrylic nails before and it was scary at first but once you learn the technique it becomes second nature. Great helpful video !! I love the color of your contacts! Love your personality... God bless!!! 💜💕
Lana Del q tips are a horrible way it’s not recommended at all, it’ll leave residue obviously and it could get stuck to your contact or even your eye. There are tweezers specifically made so you can remove contacts

I wear night contacts! They basically restore my vision to 20/20 so I can see perfectly during the day and they also stop my eyes from getting worse (like they would if you wore glasses or normal contacts) they're amazing!! It's called Orthokeratology if anyone's wondering 💖

My optometrist told me to remove my nails too but he was nice about it. He said if you’re starting to wear contacts try not to have fake nails, only get it when you’re an expert on removing them

Just a quick PSA. I know colored contacts look great but please please be careful using them!! Contact lenses are actually medical devices (even the colored ones) and ordering them ONLINE without having them properly fitted by an optometrist can do more harm to your eyes than good!! Even if they don't have any power they can cause damage to your corneas (clear part of your eye). I'm not hating or anything, just a future eye doctor trying to spread awareness!! 💕
I have a SEVERE phobia when it comes to eyeballs! To tell you how well you did: your soothing voice and sweet manner made this bearable! SN: while watching you put them back in, I was all pushing my head forward "helping" you get them in, LOL!!
Girl I can't even use eye drops, because having anything in my eye freaks me TF out! I remember when I got pink eye a few years ago (ew I know) my boyfriend actually had to pin me down to put the medicated drops in my eyes, because I just could not handle it. It sends me into a full blown anxiety attack😖
+Lexi Davis it might help you to lay down and close your eyes when you put in drops. squeeze them or have someone squeeze them into your tear duct area and then open your eyes and let the drops soak in.
Might be a bit random, but thank you for posting this. I'm a writer and I have a character with long nails (well, more specifically claws bc they're half-human, half-monster), and they wear cosmetic contacts to make their eyes look a bit more human, but I don't wear contacts myself and my family members only use glasses, so research was needed. This vid was really helpful, and I've saved it to my files to have it within arms' reach whenever I need it. Your nails are actually pretty damn close to the length I see him keeping his claws filed to as well, so I might end up using your hands as reference images when I draw him too, bc hands are the bane of my existence and I need all the help I can get, lol.
As a trained contact lens instructor (yeah, that's a thing! Haha!) I cringe at the sight of actually using the nails to handle lenses... But I think that's because prescription lenses are a lot thinner and delicate, whereas the coloured fashion ones are more sturdy. I take out my contacts differently. I pulled the skin down from my under eye and I pull up the skin from the upper eye lid with my pointer finger and I squeeze the two together and my contacts come right out. I know I didn't really explain it right but lol
it will only slide behind your eye if you sleep with contacts which you should never do!! you eyes roll back when you sleep so they slide behind your eyes after a period of time.
