Craziest thing - I never thought to punch out the cur apart! Just cause they are printed as rectangles doesn’t mean I have too use them as rectangles - duh. Learn something new from you every time.
Maymay, this little folio is so cute! I intend to make one for this year's Christmas pictures! Our oldest of three children will be 50 in two weeks. Years ago I started an 8x8 scrapbook of the kids with Santa, starting with that 50 year old as a baby. Now that little fun scrapbook is bursting with pictures, including all three grandkids, too! It's tradition for the book to be displayed every year for all to share a laugh at crying babies, weird haircuts and out of style clothes! Precious family memories.
Discovered your folio videos just in time for my Mom's 91st birthday ... she loved the folio l made for her with pics from her party. Thanks, Maymay, for your great ideas and clear instructions!!!!!
Love this folio, now I know how to use them, it turned out so beautiful. Maymay, you have sooo much talent. I’m doing the crat at home event , end of Oct, my first one ever, so excited. God Bless.😊
Very enjoyable. I am just now able to watch this so my comment is a little tardy. I also print my photos, but I add a very generous black border and print as many as I can on one sheet. That includes any digital decorative elements. Then Scan N Cut with an inside cut at the first setting. Automatic black border on a single layer. Thank you for sharing. I love making mini albums, and I'm one of the few who actually likes the creation of the book itself.
I think your advice on looking at each page instead of the whole album at one time is great advice. I do look at the whole album when choosing papers and because of that it takes me a long time. I’ll try and see if I can do as you have. One page at a time. By the way I love this folio!
Thank you, MayMay! I am learning about folios & how to create them. I think with your pockets you could add any Christmas cards you wanted to save to your folio. I love your simple way of this folio. It takes the pressure off so well. I love this idea!
Love This How To Put Pictures in Albums or Portfolio. When I saw the picture of you and your husband I said, that belongs in the front page. So glad you did just that. Loving all the tips to put in the pockets. Catching up on your channel Girl, these past few months been so hard and still is. Both my sister and husband passed three days apart in December. This Portfolio is Beautiful, will be purchasing some soon. Blessings! ❤️🤩💚
I've really enjoyed both parts to creating this awesome folio! I love your tips and layout. My favorite line: to trim yourself just place a sticker over part of yourself! I'm doing that from now on! ❤
3 days of retirement and im finally catching up on my favorite crafters youtubes! That means you!😍😍I had an Omg moment when you showed the turquise rulers to trim the paper around the photos, I have had those for 5 years and never used them!!!! I just alwys tried to eyeball my trims! Now that you have refreshed my brain about them, they are ready to go and visible! Thank you for all the inspiration!
Mayday- Thank you you for sharing your picture process with us. I have never made a scrapbook or a picture album. You explained this process to make is easier to consider making one. I have Lost all my siblings parents, aunts & uncles, lots of cousins as well. But I would love to look for pictures from when we had Christmas of years ago & then try to make a book like this. Thank you for sharing this with us & the information to make one. 👏👏👏👏💞
Maymay, I hadn't gotten on the folio bandwagon because...well, I fight clutter. Though making them looks fun and they are beautiful, I could just imagine decorative folios stacked everywhere in my world. But this has inspired me to make one for my 89 yr. old mother, who just made the huge transition to cease living alone. Thank you for the inspiration to create a memory book for her.
Loved watching this folio /mini album from start to finish. I will definitely be making one or more of these, and using tags to journal on. You have to be the hardest working youtube crafter out there. So much to see!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I loved watching you make this album but I have never done a scrapbook. I’ve been trying to wrap my head around the process and this is so helpful! I have so many family pictures that I need to share. I want to make books to share with them. ❤️
This is an absolutely fantastic video! So very helpful. I am making an album for my sister and I did get the stamp set from you with the photo frames and the photo size, so now I can refer back to this video with ideas and get it ready for her and put little sticky notes with suggestions for her like what she can add in the larger pockets! We live very far away from each other and aren't able to be with each other and it would be nice to have a few photos of our house put in the album and she can add hers and Bam, we are together for Christmas! Love you guys and always so inspired and encouraged by your sweet loving spirit!
I love this May. May. I signed up for your class so I can learn . Our first grandchild is being born in April and I want to make one for all the grand babies pictures!!!!!
This is so cute. What we discovered when our neighbor passed was we didn’t know who the people were because they’re were no living relatives we had to just throw it away. Really a shame because they were great photos. I would add inserts in the pockets with the year and the happenings that day. I E the baby sleeping in the car.
Loved seeing your family and you. That folio is the perfect size. I need too sign up for the class on this. I have 2 unused Christmas paper packs, I need to use. Your so amazing for all you do for us. Blessings.
Thank you! always wonder if paper folios can handle the extra bulk of pictures especially if there are a lot of them, but then I was assuming photo paper thickness and not printer printouts. That is something I will have to ponder. Your folio turned out really nice!!
Love your ideas for the pictures. Dec 25 is Christmas Day, you seem to be putting it on pictures you're telling us were taken on Dec 24, Christmas Eve. (I started watching because I love to listen to you.)
Putting a sample of gift wrap us a great idea. Used paper for Santa gifts one year and used the same from me he next. One of the kids figured it out. LOL!!!
💚❤️💚 Love this! And love those shirts!!! Do you think you could post a list of all the sayings for each shirt? I’m so going to use this idea next Christmas!
Thank you so much for doing this one. I'm in that boat.... what the heck do you do with them after you make them lol. You made it crystal clear so really appreciate you taking time for this one.
Thanks so much for this! I was very intimidated by the folios I had made and hadn't added any pics...now I think I can do it! My only question, I have an android phone, do you know of any apps I might be able to print with for it? Thanks!
Is there a reason you use glue instead of double sided tape? I have been scrap booking as well as cards and many other crafts 😁 As for most crafts I use double sides tape. I am just starting to use glue on cards. Nice Christmas Folio.
@@tamthaluehrs Thank you, I was just wondering if there was a certain reason. I know I have used certain tape runners that loose their stick after a few years.
That is one reason we use a good quality liquid glue. If you are using a tape, make sure it is a good quality one, we have Elizabeth Craft Designs Double sided tape on the store and it works fab for these folios, here is the link: www.maymaymadeit.com/search?type=product&q=elizabeth+craft+tape+
Labeling pictures is so important. I'm trying to identify people in the boxes of photos that were my parents and there is no one left to help identify them.
