I can't even Imagine collecting cards this way...$7 one way or the other is a big deal? Constant changes almost daily to weekly in value? Having 5,000 things to think about before buying a card? 100 variations of each player? RC cards of players that haven't DONE ANYTHING yet costing major $$$? Having to constantly check if some card is worth $14 today or worth $11 tomorrow and actually caring about the difference?? This is nuts to me!!! 😅 But if someone likes that and has time for all that...i guess 👍 I'd have to quit my job to do all this 😅 jeez
Thank you. I agree. It's so hard to have a life and have any hobbies without it consuming your entire life and all your free time. But that why I watch these videos while I take an abnormally long shit
I try to go to local shows and find ungraded cards that I can get for psa 8 price and then once I grade it it's pretty good odds it will be a 9 or 10 and I will be in profit. It's tough but I am patient and look for no one in specific.

I like how you are putting your theory to practice. You can sit there throw all kinds of numbers at us and in your data dives but to actually see your thought process in action and showing how you think and theorize your logic into purchases is what most intrigues me . i struggle with understanding this, each and every card you showed a graphic for was on a heavy decline, and was priced at exactly market value. how is this getting a deal? this is a severe gamble in every aspect.
1 This info is completely useless if dont you use market movers, besides that it helps nobody and is full on teaching kids how to gamble there money away. Second this teaches a poor little kids nothing except that worshipping men as idols is what people with alot of money to lose and gamble away do often. Can you find a better NBA player with better upside than Jabari Smith Jr? Can get tons of parallel and numbered rookies for super cheap right now. He is still very young on an exciting young team and he averaged over 30 pts game in the Vegas summer league. Thoughts?
He showed some real flashes last year! He's still young and majorly increased his scoring efficiency last year, especially from three. The main concern I have about him is a general rule I have with speculation on all players - he's not the #1 or #2 option on his team. And I don't see him overtaking any spotlight from Sengun or Jalen Green. Often it takes moving to another team where these types of players become the focal point. The one caveat is when a team becomes top tier, then more of the role players get put into the spotlight. Like Jalen Williams on the Thunder. Top seed in the West, so the spotlight grew beyond Shai and Chet. If Houston competes in the West, and Jabari performs...maybe he rises. I view him in a similar light to Keegan Murray with Sacramento. At $82 for a PSA 10 Silver for Jabari, I'd rather lock in to a guy like Desmond Bane, Jaden Ivy or even Brandin Podziemski.
CardsHQ does not typically negotiate. They strive to price their cards at fair market value. If something is way off comps, you can let them know and they will evaluate it. Other card shops do negotiate...but typically because they price their cards high.
That's because they don't buy sports cards. I called ahead on 2 occasions and showed up with cj autos a Rodgers autos ant rich autos and the dude didn't even look at em really acted like a dbag. Didn't even look down. At my book as he flipped through
I’m too old school to understand all these cards covered in glitter. Having a player with a numbered card in 10 different glitter colors is too confusing for me to shop effectively.
@@MarketMovers Maybe my problem is that a lot aren’t labeled. I can’t tell the difference between the shades of red, orange, pink, etc. or silver, base, and refractor, when they look the same online. I love the cards, but I watched a video the other day that sums up my thoughts. With so many available, nobody knows yet which will be valuable. Now it’s just wait and see I guess.
Have you guys considered adding a price elasticity of demand model for each card? A feature like this seems like it would be highly useful, automated, and leverages the data you already have.

That Michael Jordan card says altered meaning it was damaged to fit a certain criteria. Meaning it has no value because it's not original condition 2:12. Also cards aren't good investments.
thats silly talk lebron is polarizing and only about half of nba fans like him. hes very much a “love him or hate him”… as a Pistons fan I saw how he got EVERY call in the 2000s in the playoffs because he was the next annointed one.
