For those out there that need help. I was a bad smoker for many many years. I was always angry with myself because no matter what I had been delivered from cigarettes was the one thing that I just couldn't seem to quit. Until I got serious in my walk and told God I just couldn't do it anymore. I pleaded with the Lord for help and I even went as far as going to my church family for help. They were all great support. God gave me a push. He let me know for one to quit buying them- that was a big one for me. And Joyce is right...speak LIFE and TRUTH to yourself. Me I fought with myself for a few days. But Remember You are a Child Of The Living God. The Lord has better for you than killing yourself and your witness to those around you. We are out here representing Jesus. I did not want someone to stumble because of me. I needed to be the best I can be and I knew I couldn't do it smoking. The next thing that really helped was to know my triggers and have a plan on what to do during those trigger moments. Read, pray,clean, do something that changes your mind from where its at. But stay away from things and places and even people that would cause your trigger. For me that meant being alone for a while but in the long run that was ok. I stayed to myself for about a week and let me tell you I lived in a house full of smokers and not just one or two there were four and it seemed like everytime I turned around there they were and there the smoke was. That's where help from the Lord and having a made up mind came in. What was more important? I had to do an inventory. I really had a tough time I won't lie about it but here I am today SMOKE FREE 1 year & 8 months later. One more thing- prayer and fasting, that really will do something to your flesh. Denying yourself is painful at first but reaping the benefits in the future is worth a little pain. If it helps you quit. And it sure did me. Thank God. I really hope this testimony will help someone. I pray for those out there stuggling with addictions of any kind 🙏 and I believe with God all things are possible. 🙏❤ May the Lord bless you

@@lacyb8289 well that's awesome to here. I am glad the Lord can use what I have been through to encourage someone. I just kept telling myself truth of who I am when thoughts would pop up..."I Am a Child of God bought for by Jesus and I am not a smoker and I don't need them." That helped me on top of making sure I kept myself in the word and my mind focused away from it. This October 13th will be 2 years for me. Thank The Lord🙌 I always believed I couldn't do it, but that scripture that says "I can do All things through Christ...that is the Truth. I'll pray the Lord continues to help you and I am so proud of you😊 may the Lord bless you & keep you always❤

I said, "Ok Lord, I'm ready to quit smoking now. Lets do this." It wasn't easy, and I cried pretty much for 6 months, Whenever I thought about a cigarette I would Thank the Lord for freeing me from that bondage and I still do. I am so very grateful what he has done for me. I could had never done it without him. I love God so much!

It is very hard to give up smoking. I started to accept I was in a toxic relationship with a smoking Demon, leading me to pray more about the situation. (God was very patient with me) I ask myself the question “is this a permanent thing? “ I feel great today that I do not smoke, mentally, and physically. Praise The Lord.

MEchele, any addiction is hard to overcome on our own. That is why we have to allow God to help us. Usually there is a deep root to why we do what we do and God has to uproot it. Allow the Holy Spirit to work in and thru you then your desires change to Godly desires and your addiction gets less and less until you are set free. Praying for God to give you peace that surpasses all understanding and strength to quit. God bless and much love ❤ Keeping you in my prayers 🙏❤

I'm with you my friend. I'm 56 yrs old and started smoking at 29. Stand on Gods word even when you light up. Do not let satan beat you up about it. Jesus has washed your sins away period. But as believers we want to live right because we love him. I'm saying this because satan has used the fact I smoke to cause me to feel separated from God. Please dont let him do this to you. The word tells us to walk in the spirit that we would not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Continue to feed on his word and pray in the holy Ghost. The holy spirit is given to us to help us over come temptations and weaknesses. Try to focus on what Jesus has done for you rather than what you've done to make you feel condemned. That is the key here. The more you focus on him the less you'll find yourself focusing on your weaknesses. The word says in my weakness is Christ strength made perfect. I am with you right now because I still smoke. But it is something God knows I regret and want to quit. He knows your heart also. A climber does not focus on the rock in front of him he focuses on the top. When you're walking if you continuously focus on your feat you will fall. Look toward where you're going. Keep your eyes on the finished work of Christ and stop condemning yourself over it. God is not so concerned about what you're doing as much as getting you to see what Christ has accomplished for you and who you already are in him. Instead of entertaining thoughts of battling this, think on the battle having already fought and won by Christ. The word says he gives The Desires of the righteous. Rest in that and begin to thank him right there where you're at cigerrette in hand or not but start thanking him for godly desires. I thank you my father that you promised to never leave me nor forsake me and no one and nothing can pluck me from your hand. I thank you father that the biggest miracle in my life happened the moment I accepted the free gift of rightousness that came through the blood of Jesus and that everything here after is small potatoes compared to that. Now Father I chose to rest in your word and trust in the transforming of your word to take me as I am to reflect the character of Christ. I rest in knowing that you who begun this good work in me shall continue to perform it until the day of Christs return. I acknowledge your word in Matthew 6:27 that I can not add one cubit unto my stature and that any good change in my life is a result of your handiwork in me. I now resign myself over to the mighty working of your power that lives big in me today through Jesus Christ and rest in your word in 1st John as he is so am I in this world. I boldly say as Jesus is so am I in this world! What Jesus has I have in this world. So Jesus is not chained to cigerrettes or any other harmful substance then neither am I in this world. Thank you Father for he who the Son is set free is free indeed. Today I declare to addiction I am set free by the blood of Jesus Christ and from this moment on I will begin to see and accept I'm in Christ and he in me and I will never again be chained by the yoke of bondage

I used to smoke…. I was taking a drag from the cigarette I heard in the spirit as I was looking at the cherry fire ball at the end of the cigarette “You WERE NOT CREATED TO BREATH FIRE” I instantly put that cigarette out and no longer a smoker. This was over 22 years ago. The LORD GOD is So Good and so gentle. 💟✝️💟☺️💓💓💓😜

Please pray for me too I'm on 3 leaders of oxygen. I have COPD. I think there's no reason. I love the Lord weigh more than a cigarette. I lost one wife to suicide. My second wife died then my son died. I had spinal meningitis. So I'm on disability I'm 67 I should be a young man but I feel like an old man

I'd been smoking for yrs and tried to quit many times .One evening, I was at my shop making candles and I just finished smoking a cigarette and what I would call a amptladfied loud ..voice .The Lord said to me STOP SMOKING...And Its been 4 yrs now. .Any I will Never forget that moment I went to my knees. I cried and it's been 4 yrs free from cigarettes... Thank you Jesus. Thank you

This is my problem. I keep praying to God to help me quit every night, even though he’s already delivered me from it in the past, and I feel guilty that I cannot keep my word after I’ve asked him to help me many times. I also feel that it is emotional because I have smoked, after quitting for some time, when I feel stressed, anxious, or depressed. May God teach us to have self-control in every way, including control over our emotions so that we may overcome this addiction.

Hi, I hope that you have found your inner David slayed your Goliath already. If you haven't quit thrn hope you find your inner david asap. Sometimes people are waiting on God to do something but alot of times it's God waiting on us. So if you're in a situation where you're waiting on God to come take the temptation away, you my wait you're whole life. Think of it like this, if God does everything for us then what good is that?! It's like doing all your kids homework for them, if we did that we're not helping them we're actually hurting them. Also, if you do put down the cigarettes you better pick up God or those cigarettes will come back. Don't forget, God could have slayed Goliath himself, but what good would that have done for David?! God was with David, but David had to go fight Goliath, David was going to be king 1 day and do things for God and David knew God was with him and he put his faith in God and gathered his courage and went and slayed Goliath. God is with you right now! How you might ask🤔, hello, its God telling you to quit smoking 💯, God must have a plan for you, that's why satan is fighting you so hard with temptation and attacking your emotions, trust me, your going to have to fight, smoking is your Goliath, smoking is what's going to keep you from what God fully has planned for you... 1 thing I want to mention, if your still smoking go and get baptized immediately, even if you've been baptized before go do it again asap. Get baptized 7 times if you have to, God said, "beat the wheat until it becomes flour" do whatever you have to do, go on a retreat, get baptized, fasting is amazing, but you have to fast, God won't do it for you, you got to go get baptized, etc etc, but nothing will happen until you change your mind 🫵🏽. In the Bible, a man approaches Jesus and tells Jesus that he wants to follow him, Jesus reply " sell all you have and give it to the poor , and then follow me" , but the man couldn't do it, he walked a sad because he couldn't do it, money was that mans Goliath. The point of this is that God wants you to put down whatever is #1 in your life, whatever comes before God we have to let it go in order to follow Jesus, whether its money, or cigarettes, porn, alcohol, gluttony, etc etc, salvation is free, following Jesus is another thing, a whole new level, i believe the man was a carnal Christian, still going to heaven, but probably lived an unfulfilled walk with God and never matured to be a Spiritual Christian. Unfortunately we never hear about the man mentioned again in the Bible. "Casual Christians equal casualties " God is waiting for you 🫵🏽, urgency, he's calling you, that's God telling you to quit smoking and come follow me. So hurry up and answer his call. However, if you have quit smoking then I'm happy for you and I hope you're following God and amen 🙏🏽. But! If you haven't Starr now! God has plenty of time on his hands we don't... 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

1 thing I want to elaborate on, it's EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!! when the Jesus told the man to sell all he has and give it to the poor, If that man had said , yes, I'll go now and had taken just 1 step towards doing it I believe 100%that Jesus would have told the man to "stop" follow me. Because it wasn't the act of selling his stuff that Jesus was looking for, it was the change of mind and the change of heart Jesus was looking for, so when you're ready to change your mind, change your heart, and put God #1 above all things then you can start following Jesus instantly, it doesn't take 30 days smoke free to follow Jesus, it doesn't take 6months smoke free to follow Jesus, it doesn't take losing 75lbs to follow Jesus, etc etc, it just takes a change of mind, once you've changed your mind nothing can stop you, and once you've 🫵🏽 changed your mind then nothing will stop God. You put God #1 in your life and follow him you just watch how God is going to work through you 🙏🏽

Man does God really reach out when u ask him to my testimony is 2 years ago I didn't have my kids and I was a drunk im 2 years sober now with all my kids even a new son but my health is so bad now from cigarettes I asked God to help me and show me woke up this morning to find this in my notification. Sept. 23rd, 2018 about 5:30 p.m. I lay down my cigs., turned to my husband and said, “ that’s it, I quit”. Went in the house and talked to God. I have not picked up a cig. since. That’s GOD, right there. There is no way I could have done it on my own. I’ve tried a few times in the past. It was pretty easy too, just kept talking to God and thanking him that I don’t smoke anymore

God's timing is perfect. I've been eyeing a mullen plant on the side of the road for 2 weeks..it helps with the lungs and can be a substitute for tobacco. The Natives use it. Finally this morning I stopped and picked some leaves with the intention of quitting smoking and then this video was posted maybe 10 minutes before I stopped to get it. WOW! God's time is so perfect!! Thank you!

Peggy, standing in agreement that you have been already healed from this addiction in Jesus Mighty Name we pray Amen. There is a root of why we do what we do. For instance, I struggle with losing weight. My root is my life has had so many ups and downs that the only thing I could control was food. I couldn't control my life. So my comfort was food and not God. I'm still struggling in this area but I know God has set me free. I just need to allow God to be God and uproot that problem. God bless and much love. Funny story in 2013 I went to my first JM women conference in St Louis at the Dome and I walked in smoking literally and walked out free! She opened the conference with ....I wanna talk to you smokers I want you to know yr in bondage- I had no clue I was in bandage. I have never smoked not even 1 time its like I never smoked I can b around smoke and I never want to smoke. God completely removed it!

I wish I could speak with this woman. I know she is a busy lady, but she has been so inspiring to me in so many ways and a big influence. you see sometimes when we won't listen to God, he sends other people that have been through what we're going through to help and to be his voice. So yes, I wish I could speak one-on-one with her about this subject because I am living in so much fear over it. My trust is broken. I know you have go through the process to be able to trust. Fear is real and saying you're scared is a step in the process

Please pray for me saints of God. Ive quit several times. I've flush them and went back and bought them. I believe He can and already has delivered me. I messed up and went back. I love the Lord. I'm reaching out for help cuz that's all I know to do and I know that their Saints here that pray. Love you Joice!! I LOVE the way you just put it right out there. You've helped me so so much through difficult times. Now all I have left is to quit smoking cigarettes. I've smoked 40 years but it's something I need to do quit. Thank you for your words of encouragement and your for sharing your Faith to all of us. You are a beautiful and incredible person. I smoked for 35 years and quit after a stroke for 9 years during the pandemic I went back and I smoke 2 or 3 a day but than now I can days but as soon as I get stressed I will have another.i just feel bad to God cause he gets me through anything but the cigarettes have always calmed me and after quitting I gained 100 pounds cause I didn't eat much I was the same weight for 35 years.when I went back I lost 30 pounds I only carry weight in my stomach I'm small every where else.

I smoked 43 years and 7 months. I quit in 5 weeks and a day with the patch . My friend taped the patches on my arm where would stay on. I was supposed to do 4 weeks first step 21mg patches. 2 weeks 14mg patches and 4 weeks 7mg patches. But I did the first step then after a week of second step got next day and didn't want to wear no more patches. That was God helping me .that was 2-5-20 thank God

I also tried chantex it didn't work for me. The first time in2008 that tried patch couldn't wait for it to get in my system. Thank God it worked this time 2-5-21 makes year since i quit

I’m struggling with this exact addiction today. I’ve been using patches but I’m still smoking and vaping and I feel like this strong hold is so hard to beat and I don’t know what to do to get delivered. I know this is not God’s will for my life. I’m a born-again believer, but I’m still stuck in bondage with nicotine.

Lord God I don't want to be labeled a smoker I don't like the way people treat them. It is not what I want to do Lord but I keep doing it. Jesus has already sealed my deliverance I am expecting freedom from addiction in Jesus name Amen. I do think smoking hurts my witness and I want to be whole with nothing missing and nothing broken Lord. I love you Lord God with all of my heart soul mind and body and I seek you Lord for my life. I just quit smoking last night. My mom caught me 3 times and I said I'd never do it again. I'm 21 years old and by the grace of God I thank him for freeing me from cigarette addiction!

C. Everett Koop, former surgeon general said that the tobacco industry has made nicotine more addictive than heroine so it isn’t just emotional. I’m going to do the praying through every craving. I don’t care if I gain a hundred pounds. I don’t want nicotine in control of my actions.

Nicotine is the most powerful drug. So it is highly addictive. I disagree with that part she said. Even in Christian rehabs backed by science cigarettes are the highest addictive drug out there. But I do agree that with God's help all things are possible and that life and death are in the power of the tongue. I also agree with believing first and seeing the results afterwards. Amen.

Absolutely not. It might hindrance us from having a deeper relationship. Also the side affects from smoking obviously does do damage that can shorten your life. God wants us to take care of ourselves so we can live longer and help lead others to Christ. Smoking is an addiction/sin, but if you truly believe Jesus died on the cross for your sins and repent and confess Jesus is Your Lord and Savior and believe He died and rose again 3 days later then you are saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit. That means your sins are forgiven and forgotten. God doesn't want you to continue with smoking, but what He is looking for is a relationship with you and a heart that yearns for God. Allow the Holy Spirit to work in and thru you to guide you to stop smoking. Praying for you. God bless and much love ❤

Even before Covid, I stopped going to church, as the pastors at mine retired and their replacement just didn't resonate with me. I have committed many sins in my life, and believe me, I feel guilty about them all the time. I do read the Bible occasionally, and watch my Biblical movies, but I'm afraid that I'll go to Hell when I die.

If you study the characteristics of Jesus then you will understand our Heavenly Father. Sorry if this is long but I hope it helps you understand and answer any question you might have. In the beginning....Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. When they disobeyed God it brought sin into this world. We weren't supposed to know shame and guilt and all the ugliness of this world. But because they sinned we were born into a fallen world. Romans 3:23. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. This means Jesus was the only one who walked on this earth without sin. Every human who has been born or will ever be born isn't perfect. We ALL make mistakes. Romans 6:23 for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. This scripture means we were destined to go to hell and have God's wrath poured out on us due to our sins...BUT GOD... sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross. Jesus took every sin, anything we have ever said and done and will do, plus sickness on the cross. Before Jesus died on the cross we couldn't go to Heaven but now that Jesus died on the cross as the ultimate sacrifice, we have the opportunity to go to heaven. John 3:16 for God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Ephesians 2:8-9 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, least anyone should boast. This scripture means that no matter how good you are and what good deeds and works you might have done, that won't get you into heaven. It's by Faith, by believing that God gave you grace and mercy. That He sent His son as the ultimate sacrifice to pay your debt from the sins you committed. Good news is Jesus didn't stay dead...God rose Him up from the grave and one day will be coming back to those who are in Christ. So.....Jesus died on the cross because He LOVES YOU ♥......in Romans 10:9-10 it states that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. So once you have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior then you are saved. Your sins are forgiven, you are made a new creation. Before I go on...have you accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior? If you have.....Do you genuinely remember the day when you accepted Him and knew beyond the shadow of doubt you are saved?
