Great video. I used to run vintage Johnsons on a 10 ft Achilles. Different mods on boat and motor. Much lighter, both motor and boat, shallow V and modified 2 blade. Would love to see Thunder Cat racing here in Canada. Very nice style of racing in terms of knowledge and conformity. The performance is spectacular. No big surfs and beaches here, but huge river rapids. Cheers 🍻
Yes. That would be good , because I can't find anything about that. For racing and amateur (familly) use also. I really like your videos and explanations.
Hello OXS! What do you and to be the best and most effective steering damper and way of reducing pull on the tiller? Your videos a quality, keep 'em coming!!
Thank you. We're trying to get together to film more tutorials so I will add this to the list thanks. I can't really help you via comments. I would suggest talking to Cam at Cams Marine.
Hi there. Great video lots of good information. I just posted on the thundercat facebook page earlier today, came across your RU-vid channel. I'm looking to buy a 2nd hand prop, preferably a 14g yamaha semi clever for my 40hp 13 spline tohatsu. Have been looking through all the usual channels for a while now without success. Can you suggest anywhere or do you have something suitable for sale. Thanks
@@OXSEnterprises greatly appreciate the quick reply. Yes I'm not a thundercat racer so i suspect that might be the case!! I'll leave the post there for a while and see what pops up. If no luck i can always buy a new powertech. I'm sure they are a great prop. just an expensive excercises as its abit experimental. Thanks again.
@@crashalexander7232 definetly not! I ended up trying a number or different props and settled on a ss four blade trophy sport. Glad it's not a 300hp outboard those props are twice the price!!
OXS Enterprises Thank so you so much! I only have a prop for rough water and I was wondering if it makes any sense to buy a prop for Flat water! I need a cleaver😍
Hey mate I'm a bit late but nice vid! I have a question, hopefully you can help me make a decision. I have a 5m deep V rib with x2 30hp mariners on it. Currently running alloy 9.9 x 10 props. Doing 24.5 knots at wot, I was wondering if I go with 9.9 x 13's, would I gain top end speed at all? Or just improve fuel economy?. I know I'll loose a tit on my holeshot but not a real biggy with having 2 props in the water. Just want to go a little bit faster if you know what I mean ☺️😄, boat weight is 560kg fully fueled and loaded including me on it. What's your thoughts? I know I wrote a short story , you can keep your answer short 😆
