I thought I had seen all of your videos. Somehow, I have not. So glad. So happy. Please never stop. I need my shot of "Kacha". I Learn so much from watching and listening to you. Painting furniture is my HAPPINESS!
Loved the raised stencil. For me, as I kept looking at the "blueberry color" you created, which looked more in the colder family of colors, I would of probably chosen a silver guilding color over the stencils and hardware. I know you're partial to gold and that's why you may have chosen it as your eye naturally goes to it. I also would of liked maybe a little corner raised stencil on the upper corners of the window doors to have tied in the entire piece...just a little one. The color is beautiful. You always teach me something and I thank you for that! Looking forward to seeing Annie Sloan with you on your podcast! Carlos, you did a good job too on helping with the hardware. Carinos, Josie
This is perfect! I recently moved and I have several pieces of furniture from my old antique store that closed years ago. I want to paint this hutch to go in my kitchen and I have been trying to find the right color of blue with a hint of purple for months and this is perfect. Also, thanks to your channel, I have been looking into appliques and learning about raised stenciling and this is exactly what I want to do. I'm so excited. I just can't wait to do it. I believe you have taught me well. I will have to post a picture for you 👍
I’ve been researching how to do this look! 1expert recommends joint compound (used for drywall), another says a medium to thick plaster composite that artists use on paintings. This is Beautiful!
Try vinyl spackle or glass bead gel. Either alone or add a little paint to them and mix it well to color the raised stenciling pattern. Love raised stencils!
I love this colour. It’s absolutely gorgeous. I’m in Australia so I love waking up on a Saturday morning to your videos. First thing I do 😊actually, making a coffee is the first thing...
Totally beautiful! I love the colors you have chosen. The black was perfect. I sure wish I was still able to physically do these things! It's great fun!
What a fabulous video!! Not only did we get to see your amazing talent in action as you made that wonderful stencil, we got to see a little bit of Carlos!! 🥳 (His first paint video debut. . Woohoo!) And your guest!! The Queen of chalk paint, Annie Sloane!!!!😁 I'm so excited!! Thank you Kaćha ❤ Stay safe and I will see you monday. *hugs*
Just watched this because I wanted to watch the podcast first! I’m not sure which I liked more, the color of the paint you mixed, the way the piece turned out , or the wonderful music in the background! All together it was a great, inspiring video! You are so impressive! Excited for next week and so loved Annie Sloan and your excitement in talking with her!
In danger of just watching your video's Kacha & not actually doing any work! Ha ha! You make it look so easy now. Got to get myself more confidence for tackling furniture! Done some items around the house that look great. Love Annie's paint & your brushes are quality! xx
Great job Kacha! Very inspirational! Well done! Can’t wait to “see” Annie on Monday! I was lucky enough to do two courses at her shop in Oxford quite a few years back and to meet her when she did a presentation in Athens in 2018. An amazing lady with a great team! Love from locked down London ❤️💕❤️
Just found your channel. I adore your work. It's inspired me to try some simple projects. And your puppy is so sweet. He clearly adores hanging out with you.
as always what a beautiful piece!! you are so creative--much appreciated! you will absolutely LOVE Athenian Black when you get the chance to use it. it's such a beautiful rich color. do you have a stockist you can order from? have you ever ordered on-line from The Purple Painted Lady? she has a great website and her shipping is excellent. and congratulations on getting Annie Sloan for your special guest! WOW!!! fantastic! she is so great to work with. she is very giving and you will get a lot of great information from her--and a bonus to your audience!! can't wait till next week for both the podcast and your next piece of furniture! thank you again and make it a great weekend :)
I just discovered your channel and subscribed! This piece is very much like one I have of my parents', only mine has open shelves on the top and not the glass doors. I am not sure that I would ever have the nerve to actually do something like this to it, but it is nice to see what it could look like!! Thanks for all of the interesting viewing!!
Also using Aubusson blue in a blind mix, need to get it more to the navy side. Somewhere in between navy & teal. Acrylics here I come because this is the only blue chalk paint I have.
@@KachaFurniture what a dream come TRUE! Holy Cow! iam jelly but so excited for u, for us and for her... ( : we need a FULL on furniture convention.. KACHACON coming to a town near you.. ( :
I loved this video! 💜 I really love this color also! AS blueberry sounds perfect, Kacha! I learned something new about mineral spirits today, thank you! 😀✌
Katcha I think this blue piece is absolutely gorgeous and desirable. Where did you learn these skills from? You have a pretty n chic taste. unbelievable!
I will only be painting and stenciling one project. Do you thinking Liquitex Modeling Paste would be okay for stenciling? Thank you so much for your video! You share the best information
Hi, this is great! Do you have any advice what to use for texture if technic is being applied on balcony wall? thanks in advance for your advice :) Greetings from Croatia :) :)
@@KachaFurniture your first one?Oh dear, you're really great!I ordered some new stencils for a chest of drawers I want to restyle, creating a raised stencil effect this time...let's see what's going to happen! In the meantime I enjoy your huge talent, darling. Thanks for sharing it with the world
Are the back and the bottom of pieces ever painted? Or just the fronts? Also how do soap and water effect the wood, doesn't it ruin the wood, make it rotten?
I use Dixie Belle mud for my raised stencils and you absolutely cannot use water because it dissolves. which is frustrating. Is it not a problem to use water over the modern masters medium? Without it dissolving?
So nice, youre so gifted and ı am watching turkey, Annie sloan paint isnt here, this is so good paint really but ı cant buy them in turkey, unfortunately🤷♀️
Hey Jo! Can you send me some pictures so I can better see what's hapenning. You can send it over to KachaLifestyleFurniture@Gmail.com or DM me on Instagram or Facebook!
The price for texture paste was crazy expensive. You can get the same effect with sheet rock mud (drywall compound) for about $8 for a 5 gallon bucket. Cute and sweet lady!
I've been watching your videos over the last two days (all but one w/the volume up). This is first time I've heard your voice-your accent is so freakin cute!
I have actually thinned some AS dark wax with mineral spirits and brushed it on my piece then immediately went back and wiped it off for that aged look.
