How to Read 4-Band Resistor Colors 

Very quick overview of resistor values. There are other, longer videos but this one is short and to-the-point. Thank you!

This is what professors and teachers are missin in there classrooms anymore. You never see classes do drills like this with their students to help them learn better anymore. All my professor did was hand us a book to try to remember it all, and never actually did drills like this. He also made a giant power point going over this, but for whatever reason he's too scared of "copyright" to share those notes with us to study from and I attend that class once a week. The problem is this is also in the book, and he never bothered to do these kinds of drills with us to help us learn better. This video pretty much taught me these drills for my professor, and now its a lot easier to figure out. To those hand out professors that dont even bother doing drills with the students, the point of being a professor is to teach the students and be professional. I don't care if it's disrespectful, because I respect those who are willing to teach.

Great Video, However your table for the Multiplier has two errors, The gold multiplier should be 0.1 and silver is 0.01

What if the other tolerance colours occur... Then how will we hold the resistor in order to read the colour code 🙂

<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="103">1:43</a> (alt approach sans 'kilo') Green 5 Red 2 Yellow 0000 (add 4 zeros) = 520,000 ohms. Gold Tells us tolerance is 5% (mfg accuracy-claim), Manufacturer is stating that the resistor should be between 494,000 and 546,000 ohms.

I’m having trouble with a resistor colors are orange orange purple gold , which should be 330M correct? But when I test it I get 3.3k and my schematic says 3.3k is correct, the color is looks purple to me not red
