If you would've showed me how to use this in a live trade then I would understand much much better, unless you show how to do this in live trade then a beginner like myself, then this is useless.
It's both. If you're long a contract and want to sell for $100, you are a passive (limit) seller Asking $100. Without an aggressive (market) buyer who will pay whatever is being Asked, you'd never sell, even if passive buyers are Offering a lower pirce Passive buyers also need a seller who's aggressive if they're to buy at the price they've Bid.
