Hi there, So the timing control valve and crank angle sensor are. I replaced the timing control valve which is on the back side of the injector pump. You'll need to access it through the passenger side wheel well. This is how I test it. 1. Disconnect the timing control valve wiring connector. 2. Using a voltmeter check the battery voltage is present terminal one of the wire connector with the ignition on. 3.if battery voltage is not available check the wiring and connections between the timing control valve and the ECD relay for conductivity and shorts to earth. 4.
4.using an ohm metre measure there is resistance between the terminals of the timing control valve if the resistance is not interested patient renew the timing control. 5. Using jumper leads connect terminal 1 battery power and terminal 2 to earth. check that the timing control valve solenoid clicks replace the timing control valve. Do not apply battery voltage longer than 30 second.if test must be repeated wait until the cyanide is cool to the touch or damaged to the solenoid may occur. 6.check the wiring connections between the timing control valve and the engine ECU for Contiuity and shorts to earth. Also check the engine ECU power supply and earth circuits. To remove, Using a 5mm Allen key remove the bolts withdraw the timing control. For installation is reversal of the removal process ensuring new o rings are used and the bolts and a wiring connector are secure. Pin 1 is the top pin of when the timing control valve is installed. i have codes 15, 24 and 35 showing up. any tips on what to do and how to fix please. Car runs 1st 2nd 3rd gears no problem. 4th and 5th lags and gets no power blows heaps of black smoke and coughs and splutters. wont go over 2000rpm
Heya, The codes Are 15 throttle control motor 24 intake air temperature sensor 35 intake air pressure sensor. Could be an wire wire problem. I probably check all the wiring and the Senses see if they're all operational. Also disconnect the battery clear the codes go for a drive test of the codes and see which one comes up.
