Bruce Swedien used the Shure SM7B on the Thriller Album to record all of Michael Jackson's Vocals. Also, Michael didn't like wearing headphones so Bruce put two small speakers at low volumes in the vocal booth with one speaker out-of-phase so the residual background of music would be very low. Yes, it is all true!
