I've covered Bring Me The Horizon's "Happy Song" using both real recorded drums and programmed drums via the GGD "modern and massive" library. Despite BMTH's drum augmentation, this song is perfect to illustrate the debate.
In this video, I will show you how I recorded and then edited the drums. I will show you two ways of editing your drum performance in REAPER: one is an almost automatic way of editing drums, while the other is manual - editing every single hit of the performance manually. This is a demonstration in REAPER, but I give you plenty of tips and tricks on drum editing, so this video will help you also to edit your drums in Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Studio One, and many other DAWs!
