I had a question of how to record MIDI from Maschine into FL Studio without re-recording MIDI data back into Maschine from FL Studio. I demonstrate an easy solution to this problem.

Wouldn't it be easier to just add patterns made in maschine as audio clips in FL Studio? Thats how I do it anyway.
@gremlynmusic
@gremlynmusic 4 года назад
Yes. It would. However that limits you to the exact wav render of the pattern. So you'd have to record a bunch of other patterns and variations. Which for some people, would be a problem. If you have less than 16gbs of RAM, running a project with a bunch of WAV samples can be tasking. Especially when you go to add in your extra FX Plugins for Sonic aesthetics, and then mixing (for those who mix their project without exporting it as stems/gainstaging)

Good tip! Any idea how to use the mk3 as a midi controller? It works fine with protools but in FL seems like I have to change octaves somewhere. When I press the pads I can see it working but never triggers any sounds. Thanks!

Why not instead of recording in maschine and drag the midi to fl studio, you record the midi straight to fl studio, I think thats the way to do it

But isn't it too costly to always do the procedure you did in the video ? Because I'm thinking of buying me one too, but I have a strong FL workflow and the mk3 wouldnt make it better in any ways though

Mad Max depends on what you are doing. Maschine can be used in a couple different ways that can enhance creativity imo. I need to make a video explaining this!

Operculum Audio I like both but stupid native instruments support won't respond with a replacement installation c I'm a registered user so I'm stuck using maschine on Mac n FL on windows
@OperculumAudio
@OperculumAudio 6 лет назад
Jamal Cole I recently sold my maschine MK2 and went through a bit of hassle trying to get my license transferred from me to the new user. I don't know if this helps but I read that Native Instruments allows two simultaneous installations per user which means you should be able to install machine on your Windows computer as well as on your Mac.

I made a BM machine and I am trying to record the midi the exact way it was in maschine and recorded into FL Studio to make changes how do I do that
@OperculumAudio
@OperculumAudio 5 лет назад
I'm a little confused as to what you are asking but I will try my best to help. It sounds like that you want to copy the midi from a song you created in maschine into FL Studio? If that is what you are trying to do, you would need to go to each different MIDI sequence in maschine, and drag each MIDI sequence individually into the channel you want it to be in inside of FL Studio, 1 by 1, by using the Midi Drag Icon in Maschine. The other way would be to save the project in Maschine as a Midi file, and then reopen the file inside of FL Studio. Hope this helps
@maziahnieves2363
@maziahnieves2363 5 лет назад
@@OperculumAudio that's exactly what I was trying to do obviously it sucks trying to do everyone individually I did it and it only played half of what I created which was a 16-bar loop and it didn't want to playback
@OperculumAudio
@OperculumAudio 5 лет назад
@@maziahnieves2363 Yeah, having to drag and drop all that is a pain in the ass for sure. When you play the midi in FL Studio, does the playlist play and no audio comes out? Or are you having the issue where when you press play in FL Studio, it just sits still without advancing on the time line of the track?

I didn't go into much detail on how I do it, but if ya need help lemme know. I don't really use Maschine to do Piano Roll, or Much Automation. There are a few cool things Maschine can do, but I usually just use it to Route the Maschine Ssounds into FL Studio and have easy access to it's huge library in a organized way.

Kewl, but so counterproductive lol... I bought Maschine second hand, basically, just for the plugins, because i knew the hardware and software would be useless to me... But i thought i could at least use the hardware to control FL studio, but not even. It's so boring.
