Correction: You are using 'Headphone' port on Sena not 'AUX' port. AUX port, also referred as MP3 Port in User Manual, is for connecting IN non-bluetooth audio devices (like mp3 players, gps, 2way radio etc). Headphone OUT is what goes in MIC IN of GoPro hence recording both what you speak (echo on) and what you are hearing (from other riders). If you wanna record the audio to the GoPro you will have to use earbuds and a 3.5mm splitter. The Sena headphones can be installed in the helmet like normal and can be used for times you do not want to record and use like normal.
As per sena, either the headphone jack works or the speakers. As soon as you put in a 3.5mm cable in the jack it’s gonna disable the headphones thinking you want to use earphones instead of the speakers. So you are basically hacking into the audio feed to record and thus you need to use splitter to hear via earphones and record via recorder.
@@sumitssodhi88 the volume from your friends can depend on where their mic is placed or how loud each person talks. Otherwise it’s the same volume coming in. If someone sounded quiet we would just let that person know that their mic needs be adjusted since we are all using the gooseneck mics that come with the sena and sometimes the mic could sag down or have gotten push to the side from putting on their helmet etc. Whenever I go to use the comms for recording a do a mic check and have everyone talk one at a time to make sure they are loud and clear or have them adjust their mic closer or further away from their mouth if they sound quiet or too loud. But Basically what you normally hear through the comms is what gets recorded to the gopro. Hope that helps! Any questions please feel free to ask 🙌
