In this video series we’ll recover and refine the gold from 30 Agilent Gold Corner BGA Chips I purchased from eBay. It’s critical that are educated with using ACIDS and the toxicity of metals dissolved in acids. Do not try to repeat this at home without protective gear and proper education. This is part one of a two part series.

a dedicated paint brush works wonders when cleaning ash out of your ashing pan, and a soft bristle brush for cleaning the dropped gold out of beakers, etc

Doesn’t the gold stick to the soft bristled brush? I’ve always wondered that when I saw others doing it.

@@KKRRenewables something like an artists brush works, the gold won't stick at least not that I've seen.

I have had good luck using a $11 coffee grinder to grind my chips. Takes only a couple minutes to grind to power instead of a couple days.

Those bottoms are not worthless. I use a razor knife ro seperate the green screen from the copper backing which has all the tin balls. Still adding to my collection so i dont know a yield per piece. But think it will be worth processing.
