Let me show you how to recover recently deleted text messages on your iPhone.
Start by heading into the Messages app. For this example, I'll delete some text messages to recover.
Now that we have messages to recover, make sure you're on the homepage in Messages. Tap "Filters" at the top left of the screen. Next, on the Messages menu page, tap "Recently Deleted" at the bottom. Here, you'll see a list of all recently deleted text messages on your iPhone.
When you delete a text, you have up to 40 days to recover it before it's permanently deleted from the Apple servers. To the right of each message, you'll see how many days remain to recover it. Note that you can only recover all messages from an individual contact, not select specific ones.
To recover everything, choose "Recover All" at the bottom. This will restore all recently deleted messages on your iPhone. Alternatively, you can tap "Delete All" to permanently delete everything.
To recover an individual message thread, select it and then hit "Recover" at the bottom. Confirm by hitting "Recover" again on the popup. The deleted text thread will then be restored to the main Messages app screen.
