Now, MiniTool Partition Wizard, a professional and simple partition magic can help to recover lost partitions as well as their data as long as new partition hasn’t been created.
Step-by-step Guide to Fixing Unallocated Hard Drive Space
Step 1: launch MiniTool Partition Wizard to get its main interface.
Step 2: select the disk where partition loss appears and directly choose "Partition Recovery" from the left action panel or from the toolbar.
Step 3: choose a scanning range from "Full Disk", "Unallocated Space", and "Specified Range", and then click on "Next" button.
Step 4: set scanning method to scan the specified range and click
"Next".
Step 5: check all needed partitions, including existing partitions and deleted/lost partitions, and then click "Finish" button.
Step 6: assign a letter for the recovered partition(s) using "Change Drive Letter" feature if you want to see it in Windows Explorer, and then click "Apply" button on the top to perform partition recovery.

What if the disk is not recognized? Disk Manager says to initialize the disk in order to access it, but everything I've read states to avoid doing this if at all possible as it will only make recovery more difficult.

I am using my seagate 1TB EX HDD since one year. There is 700GB data. Suddenly 7days back it gave beep sound. Light gone off. Then I ejected through safe removal process. Then again I attached with laptop and light is still off. But can feel the motor vibration by touching external hard drive. In my computer it is showing nothing. Went to disk manager... Then it is showing " Disk 1, unknown, 931.51 GB, not initialised, unallocated." in the properties it is showing that disk is working properly, partition style - not applicable ..... How to save the data of the HDD..?

I think there is serious issue with the primitive minitool power data recovery software.....it actually do not return more than 5% of the total stored data. This is the case where you have a lost partition.

hi, just yesterday was going to reinstall windows when I accidentally format my driver in windows install. I Didn't click on delete only format. I have download some recovery tools. But I am unsure how they recover the file. Some just show me like file and not where it stored. I really would like if my hard drive was restored just has it was before. Does this software do that?

Sir, I have 1TB solid storage drive (SSD) are 4 partition but GPT styles. MBR sytle Windows 10 are not supported. So I can do convert C: drive GPT to MBR sytle by diskpart cmd command. Hello, Did you mean you diskpart cleaned the SSD, then installed Windows 10, and now want to recover the lost data? If yes, probably it is difficult to recover your data, because it is difficult to recover data from SSD when TRIM is enabled. You can try the free version of the program first. so im trying this on my 2TB external HDD and so far im 20% in and the software is saying it has found 25TB worth of files..... all the files paths and folders are correct that its showing but its showing multiple video files as 1.93TB each. so when the scan is finally done what the hell am i supposed to do? as im more than sure that it wont let me recover "more" than the HDD can hold

Dear , I am facing problem with my USB, when I connect USB system says the disk is not formated and if I try to format system says the device is not ready. Hello, if the unallocated partition is not on the original drive which lost data, you can change it to a normal partition. Kindly Reminder: Please do not write new files or save recovered files to the original drive, because it may overwrite lost files, and overwritten files can't be recovered anymore.

I installed windows 8.1 last week. Didn't install any drivers unless today. So normal boot no problems. Went to my computer and wtf. My 3rd partition (1st is os 2nd is normal game files) is missing. Did not help. It's a 2TB portable HDD, disappeared from my disk list. Shows up as "unallocated" in disk management. After almost a day of minitool quickscan nothing shows up - File system: null; Lebel: null; Starting LBA: 0; Status: Lost/Deleted *How do I recover my data?* Disk 2 MBR 1.82TB (Unallocated)

i have the same problem as above. please help me, how do i recover files from an external hard drive which does not show up in "my computer". i tried minitool partition recovery wizard. it takes forever to scan. also my file system shows "bad disk" ..please guide.
