5:20 I don't think that the inverse square law is responsible for long shadows. I think it's because the light if lower in hight similar to the position of the sun during sunset.

You're my favorite channel! Greetings from Mexico! One quick question! Do you think I can accomplish the first photo (super harsh shadows) with a basic speedlight? (I'm thinking of buying the godox v860ii) :)
