Great video! Just an addition to the info: You can also book united award seats using Singapore Airlines, Aeroplan and Avianca, but Turkish is the cheapest...
Please make more videos like this. Like more examples on how to look for flights and transfer miles and use them to book a particular flight. Great video. Thank you!
Hey Max, thanks for doing these! Much appreciated! Question, using Turkish, how come when you get to the flight screen, Business class flights never show and you can only see Economy? Been trying to do a booking like this to Hawaii and the Business class flights never populate... and you can get those for 12,500 each way!
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!! Recently switched to the Venture X from CSR and was wondering if I made a mistake.. at least now I have some 'advantage' through your tutorial!! Can you make a video on booking flights to Taiwan? I feel like Eva Air with Cap1 miles transfer rate is horrendous.. but also planning a trip to Taiwan sometime next year... if you can look into that I would SUPER appreciate it! :D
Question: I'm considering getting the Venture X card... one of the main benefits is 5x on flights booked through their travel portal - what is your recommendation there to try to get the best of both worlds?
Ive been watching your videos back and forth, and as much as I find them extrenely useful, I am having a very difficult time booking a flight to Panama City with miles. Is there any way you can help??? Please and thank you!
Hi. Thank you for the very informative video. I am new to this game. Can I transfer my miles from venture X to Turkish miles&smiles ahead of time for future use on United Airlines flights?
I'm new in your channel. Thanks for the content, this is an amazing information! 1. Saver Award are also available to First Class flights? 2. Even if Saver Awards doesn't work for Fist Class. Am I still able to book First Class flight through Turkish after checking availability on United website?
Thank you for your video! I have a trip from phoenix to Barcelona booked by my company and I’m looking into upgrading the cabin from economy to executive. The trip is added to my United App and I can see that an upgrade would cost me 20,000 points + $300. I only have 4,000 miles with United because I don't fly United frequently. Do you think I could transfer 20,000 miles from my capital one to Turkish Airlines, and then transfer it to United?
Thanks for the explanation!! If you're transferring the Capital one points to the Turkish account, but are booking a United flight, are you also able to combine any existing United miles towards that flight? We also have the united explorer card that contains points through that program for United flights.
Thanks for the easy to follow instructions! Can I only use the points on my flight or will I be able to use my points to book the flight for my whole family?
I may compare Miles/Smiles to Aeroplan for domestic united. Looks like a solid bet if available. Always looking for some decent domestic deals if I'm in a pinch, otherwise I think domestic is an easy way to get those bonus miles by booking to use for your KLM Europe flights. Love your channel, sir!
Just finding your channel now and it couldn't have come at a better time! I've been frustrated spending hours and hours trying to book award flights and have failed. The only award booking I've been able to do many times in the past is transfer Chase points to United and that part is easy. Recently I used Air Canada points that I transferred from American Express to book an Avianca flight to Mexico ctity, but they (Avianca) either canceled the flight or downgraded me from business to economy, so I kind of got upset and just canceled my booking and now I have 60K Air Canada miles sitting there. I've been trying to fly on a first class Lufthansa flight on a 747. Well, any 747 flight will do, but the only way I found to get on this plane from or to the US would be going to Germany via Lufthansa. Do you have any other suggestions?
My UR points are too valuable to spend on flights, almost exclusively reserve for Hyatt, but this could potentially be a great way to redeem my Cap1 points! 🙏
You can't. They're not a partner with anyone aside from Marriott Cards (well, Bonvoy points, which you can transfer to Alaska), or you can have Alaska as your Frequent Flyer transfer account when you rent cars with certain companies. JAL and Alaska don't have credit card transfer partners. ANA has only one, and that's Amex Plat, which has killer redemptions, but it's an Amex Plat, so....is the cost worth it to you is the only question you need to answer.
I always get this message :( 'We do not have any flights on the date and route you have selected or all our flights are sold out. Please change the date and/or route for a new flight search'
I need help. I have C1 miles and Amex miles. I booked a flight to Cuba from LAX. With my mom. Her bucket list..Now she wants her sister to come along, but she lives in Guatemala. Copa airlines flies to Cuba 20k miles, how can I transfer miles to Copa airlines so I can make this happen. HELP
Hey! you can't transfer points directly to Copa so that means you'll need to book through an airline that partners with Copa. Copa is part of the star alliance so you can maybe book the Copa flight from through these partner airlines: Air Canada Avianca (LifeMiles) EVA Air Singapore Airlines Tap Portugal Turkish Airlines
Hey, I've noticed a lot of people having issues with the Turkish Airlines website. Unable to make accounts, unable to sign in, UX issues. Anyway, I was able to make an account through the mobile app but these credentials only log in to the mobile app and not the desktop website. After all these hurdles, going through United and finding saver discounts and then searching for them through the award ticket search on turkish airlines mobile app, there's a message that always says "Flight not found on selected date" and I've gone through the entire calendar year and it's saying that for every date. Has anyone else had trouble booking with Turkish Airlines lately? It seems as if there is no longer this option for domestic flights anymore, or they have intentionally made it impossible to book flights within the US on saver ticket prices. Just wondering if you've noticed this issue.
Not surprised, it’s a Turkish Airlines issue. Turkish makes it super tough to book partner airline flights. If you find saver award space you can call or email them to see if they see the award space. It’s hit or miss though so ymmv
