Good video tutorial for Mechanical pencil beginners, honestly I don't really recommend inserting more leads inside that can cause the mechanism to jammed. Probably 3 leads is good to go! More Power!
Thank you! When I got my old Mechanical pencil, I use to refill it from the mouth of the pencil. I do that too a day ago when I was refilling my new mechanical pencil my mom gave me 2 days ago. But thank you for telling me! I didn't know you can insert more than one lead!
Thank you very much ! So easy to do still I was thinking " naaa can't be that simple to remove the eraser and fill it there " haha Now I can continue to draw with my favorite pencil 😁
Can u help me pls. So basically i left the mechanical pen open out since its a pencil anyway and i thought it won't break but when i got back and tried to draw the lead wasnt showing, pls helppp
I refilled it like this and it didn't work so I watched the vid and I was like well maybe my pen is broken I removed each part and turns out here was a lead stuck inside the head
Maddingly slow and ***ahem*** drawn out. You don’t need to stop and show the cap for ten seconds, then the eraser for ten seconds, then the leads for ten seconds. I found myself screaming at my phone, “ALRIGHT ALREADY !!! Show me how to change the damn lead. Stop fondling every component. We all know your fingernails are painted red…..no one cares about that!!!!”
If I may ask a question. Whenever I buy a mechanical pencil, everything would go okay until I have to refill it. Once I refill it, the lead would stop holding firmly in place and would push back in once I start writing. Is it because I only put one lead when I’m refilling my pencil?
Yes it is. You have to put as many as you can fit in there after there is no more space to put anymore, then put the eraser and cap back in and it will work
OMG I KNOW THE ANSWER!!! I had this exact same problem. Try putting the rubber tip(not the eraser) back in place with the help of the lead. There's a rubber tip inside the nib of the pencil. Whenever it moves out of it's place, this happens. Try doing this, it might help.
You were the first vid I watched. It helped tremendously! Many of the videos suggest avoiding more than 2-3 lead refills or you can potentially jam the chamber. Thank you so much for posting! 🌹
If anyone’s wondering how to change the lead (to a different hardness) here is how. 1. remove all the spare lead from the pencil if there is any 2. Turn pencil vertical with tip pointing up. 3. Press and hold down on the advance mechanism and push the currently installed lead down into the tip with your hand. 4. Keep holding the advance button and Use the ramrod on the eraser to push the lead down further. 5. It will drop out and you can remove it and change leads.
I had trouble refilling my pencil earlier today so I decided to search up a tutorial and this video was the most helpful out if all of them! Thank you so much for your help! :)
THANK YOU SO MUCHHHHH I GOT MY FIRST PIGMA MECHANICAL PENCIL A FEW DAYS AGO AND I WAS JUST WONDERING HOW TO REFILL IT AND I WAS ALSO WONDERING WHY IT DIDN’T HAVE AN ERASER SO I SEARCHED FOR A TUTORIAL OUT OF CURIOSITY AND I MANAGED TO STUMBLE ACROSS THIS VIDEO THANK YOU SO SO MUCH !!!
( My face while trying this 😲) Thank you so is much I had a mechanical pencil before but it was a cheap one I got more expensive ones they said they had a eraser but I couldn't for my life find out how to refill or where it was
My whole youth as arts student i was using these kind of pencils. And only after finishing my studies, getting older, getting married and having kids (and using my fav versatile faber castell all those years) one of my sons said to me once “mom, why are you refilling thet way? It should be done like this (like on the video) “ i felt so dumb. And also all those years i didnt even know there was an eraser))))))😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
and then there is me trine figure out how to refill a very unique mechanical pen called "apollo 2325' which is a pain in the ass IT DOESNT REFILL LIKE OOTHER ONES DO AND NO ONE HAS A TUTORIAL HOW TO
This is incredibly annoying. It doesn't feed in from the tip like the fools at Staples said, since it's jacked in from the back. My pencils have bee. Thrown at the wall, and busted eraser passages, probably cause I smashed it. It won't feed in either way. Does ANYone know how to fis this?
Well, This is very time consuming for a test. I once did this method and the teacher got so irritated by the constant clicking while I tried to get the lead to slot in the hole thingy. Next time I will just use mouth.
Can you try the Pentel 120 A313 |0.3mm After refilling I put the rubber back in and as soon as I press it down the rubber just goes down inside the pencil so you can’t get it out , it pisses me off so much this is literally my first time They’ve obviously designed it to piss people off, screw you Japan (I’m joking and thanks for naruto)

@@caatthhh I wasted so many mechanical pencils by trying to refill them in a wrong way ( yee I’m so dumb:/)that I almost stopped buying them lol. Your video was really helpful though:) Also your sketches are amazing!:)
