OWWA Chief Arnell Ignacio stated that the organization is looking at ways to make OFW procedures such as the issuance of OVerseas Employment Certificates (OEC), an OFW exit clearance and recruiment certificates for Filipinos working abroad, faster and more convenient. This is done as the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) searches for additional ways to protect OFW and improve their services.
To make services available to OFW, DMW created the DMW Mobile App. With the use of this mobile app, transactional processes, including the issuance of OEC, can move from face to face to online operations.
