Apple trees grown from seed won't have dwarfing rootstock. The trees will want to grow really tall. So, as the trees reach the desired height, you'll want to "summer" prune them to stop their upward growth. We have lots of hungry deer on the farm that are kept out with an 8 foot wire fence. Most of these videos are funded by private donors and not from public funds.
