Haven't tried it yet, but thank you so much for this video. I have tried another, to no avail - feeling confident this will work. Will try to remember to let you know.
Thank you for the wonderful guide. I've followed your instructions, but after drilling the larger hole I find that there is not only metal where I would expect the espag plate to be, but there is also metal up the sides (or front and back if you're looking face on to the frame), which looks like it might be a metal U-frame reinforcement - am I correct? I've only drilled though one layer of plastic. Am I to drill though the metal, possibly another layer of plastic, before I hit the espag? The frame is made by Profile 22. Many thanks.
Just had a new glazing unit installed but the fitter didn't check the mechanism, so they closed and locked the window and now it is jammed shut. replaced the handle to see if that was the problem, but seems either the lock box mech has jammed or the shoot bolts are stuck in the locked position. Little bit scared to remove the beads now
Did this this morning and it worked brilliantly. So well in fact next time I'll try this way first. The replacement parts I got from upvc spares4repairs were easy to fit.
