How to reload the bearings into a button return ball nut. Often Metric ball nuts are button return ball nuts. But this technique can also be used on tube return ball nuts.

You make it look so easy. I am trying to rebuild one with tiny balls 1.48mm or 58thou. Not easy at all.

Surely you guys know the difference between ball bearings and bearing balls. Balls are used here, not a bearing.

I used to build ball screws, my one piece of advice is make sure when you discassemble you put the unit in a container to capture all the balls, and count how many came out of the ball nut. When you are ready to re assemble measure all balls with a micrometer just to check all balls have the same size. Hope this helps.

is the procedure same for 4 start ballscrew. i have a 1520 ballscrew and i lost 2 balls, i want to put them back in.

This nut has 2 circuits. Expect that it's not know which circuit the balls came from so best bet is to reball the entire nut. The nut can be sent to the factory and for a fee they will reinstall the balls. However the nut will operate fine with 5% less balls in it (or 4 in the case of this nut)
